Sad news today. NHL Network Boomer announced today he's having some major health issues and will be on The Point when he can. Otherwise it's over to Jake Hahn and guest hosts, the past few weeks it's been Dave Pagnotta.

Sad to hear that. He doesn’t have a great radio voice, and yet he has become one of my favorite on air hockey personalities. He knows his stuff IMO. Sure hope he gets well soon.
And that has to be the most overused nickname.

why do they interview derek wills? he might be the worst shill I've ever heard . not only is pumping markstroms tires but just now his puck handling ... such tone deaf timing

Does anyone else find that the reception of the fan while driving in their vehicle is worse than other am stations?
The reception in my vehicle is horrible

I was out in Canmore last week and the signal was toast right after Scott lake Hill and never came back clear just static.

Barnburner is so good I simply haven’t bothered to listen to Sportsnet in the morning much. The one time I did recently I thought my podcast had screwed up and it was playing Flames Talk after hours, because it was a call in show.
Generally the callers are wrong, the are on phones so the call quality sucks, and the hosts aren’t mean spirited enough to roast them like they should (which at least would make it funny).
They would be better served to just read CP out loud.

Russic and Rose seem like good guys but I struggle with a lot of the discussion and content. Not particularly original or entertaining; heck, yesterday they had a bit where they were reading "Mean Leafs tweets" or something like that.
Immediately turned it off, then I thought I'd give it a chance, and then immediately regretted that choice and turned it back off.

Doesn't he travel with the team? Like on road games he's flying on the same plane I thought. Regardless, I think when you're that close to the team and talking with the guys on a day to day basis you're gonna talk a bit different about them than say a fan960 guy.
