I always imagine Darryls practices like the movie Dodgeball.

If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball!!!!

And the guys loved it so much they stuck around for more .

It's all good watching our fellas get prepped for Saturdays Kane gets punched in the face , Connor gets hit clean and Drai just being pisssy game.

I still wish Burke and Lowe scrapped in barn. Brian would have beat his arse.

Oh well. I still miss the 80s when we played the oil and blood was all over the ice from every second shift scrap and we held our own.

Watching those games kept ya in goosebumps.

Rest up boys.....skate hard hit harder and give no penny dime or quarter . Hate the oil ....let the hate flow.

Go Flames

Let this be the start of a back to back cup winning team that will absolutely beat the piss out of everything in its way. I want to watch my team win it all atleast once more before I die.

gaudreau and tkachuk showed about as much intensity playing the coil as they did playing arizona. probably a symptom of being american kids .. or just not great competitors

I don't think that is fair to say about Tkachuk. Remember all that stuff with Kassian? Tkachuk was intense. It is unfortunate it didn't translate for him on the scoreboard.

Love this team. Love the players on today more than those from last season. But there's no need to ignore what was or change history altogether. Remember Tkachuk telling Kassian to stay off the tracks? The intense media circus around the Flames and Oilers? It lasted months! There was plenty of hate.

What number do you even give the Wiz? 00?

Regarding Tkachuk, I always felt it was more of a keeping up appearances or reputation concern with him. It didn't seem like an intensity thing to me. Based on my uneducated, unknowing, and completely uninformed opinion anyway.

Meh. Another situation where Tkachuk didn't win in the end, just created distractions and let kassian win by fighting him because 'the code'

It's okay for kassian to do the same thing to players tougher than him for some reason. The oilers/kassian got the media to buy their narrative (predictable) and in the end, turned out to be a net loss for the Flames, like everything else he did that was extra curricular... all of this compounded by him talking a big game that he never once backed up

I'm really happy he's gone honestly. Just another entitled ####### who was born on third base who thinks he's God's gift

His dad was a POS ego maniac choke artist too

Brady seems cool

I think Tkachuk made the Oilers and a lot of other teams play the Flames harder. Sometimes it best to let sleeping dogs lie and just give your opponent nothing to get fired up about. See the Pens throwing in the towel last game.

I think Tkachuk was just doing his thing and kassian was set off because he's sensitive and a b### . Tkachuk wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary and kassian and the Oilers just made a big deal out of kassian overreacting

that it materialized in that kassian extension where he was overpaid and inked for too long was priceless though. oilers glorified him acting like a baby in front of the cameras like it was heroic ... classic no goodness

Going to be really interesting when Kylington returns.

Not going to take out Stone with the way he is playing.

Zadarov brings a different physical element that our defense is somewhat lacking.

The other players I would argue are better.

I know Kylington is better than both Stone and Zadarov but Sutter like a balanced defense with defined roles.

Just wait until November when the Flames have to play 9 games in 2 days.

Does Mackey get claimed if he's sent down? I think Kylington replaces Stone, but Kylington is still a while off

Tkachuks antics vs the Kings and Oilers led them to beating us, and him pulling no shows in big games.

I don't care if he puts up 100 points again, I do not miss him at all and happy he is not on our team anymore. I hope Ritchie or Lucic take a run at him when we play.

I don't know what Sutter saw in him to call him a forceful player.

Still lots of area to improve on. You don't give up 20 shots in a period and call it one of the best games of the year like the media did. They will need to check very well and stay out of the box against the Greasers.

So much of Tkachuks antics were incredibly selfish. Sure the penalties he drew were retaliation calls but I see Allot of momentum killers too.
And then to watch his responses....like a child is all I come away from with.

Kadri has done this too in the past hurting his team but he honestly learned before winning his 1st championship.

It made him better and now he can play and have this team benefit as a result. So ....I'll take Kadri over any of that crap he pulled here . Busting your hand to Make a personal point and hereby removing yourself as a positive part of a team makes NO SENSE.
To win championships we've all watched incredible personal sacrifice so that teams can win.

Tkachuk will NEVER be the player pointed at to be the difference Maker because he just has to be the Man...you heard him....this is how the Tkachuks do things.

Glad this team doesn't have selfish James Neal types anymore who are just in it for themselves and put the teams needs last.

Man this team has had some real gems before the return of Darryl . Glad he won't tolerate that kind of garbage.
