My God, no. Baseball is about the most boring thing on planet earth. I am pretty sure if there is a hell, it will be exactly like watching a ball game, but where all the exits in the building lead you to watching NASCAR.

Baseball is boring enough to WATCH, nevermind listening to it on the radio...

What I have noticed is basically there is a the morning show which has a decent amount of Jays talk then from 9-10 another jays show then Rome is back for 3 hours then another Jays show then 2 hours of Flames talk. This week with Jays games starting at 4:45 the second hour of Flames talk is 30-40 minutes long.
This year more than most flames fans are craving content since the top of the roster was retooled so the fact there is only 1.5-2hrs of discussion a day is not enough in my opinion.
To each their own though. I don’t like baseball at all so I am biased

This non stop baseball talk is so awful, I’d pay to listen to paint dry.

My understanding is that both the new Boomer podcast (Rhett not involved...he has moved to Buffalo), and the new Fan960 Morning show start October 1st.

It was joke picture of Rhett beside "Rhett's back".

My guess would be Rhett’s not back full time then but might have a bit of a feature role
Nice thing about a podcast is Rhett could join from Buffalo, and wouldn’t necessarily have to be on it all the time.

I'm guessing if this podcast thing is real, that Boomer and Pinder will be calling in a few of their friends cards for guests and/or regular features. Don't be surprised to hear guys like Rhett, Krahn, and Walker make regular appearances.

I've been a guest for MLB games. Not even once did I want to stay during the 7th inning stretch. I was so bored. But there are people who do like to stay.
One time we had a premier suite, our company name on the displays, it was frankly pathetic. The food was middling. The cost was just clearly not worth it. For about 40 people. In the group, about 6 actually wanted to watch baseball.

Nevermind looks like a 4pm start and no Jays on the radio

Yeah Rhett's gotta be back in some form, no way they do that as just a rib. Agreed it's probably not full time, but yeah I bet he'll make regular appearances.

The podcast is definitely going to be Boomer, Rhett and Pinder. From one of the horses mouths.

Rhett Warrener moved to Buffalo? What was the reason for that? A chance to be in media out there or is he just there to live? I thought he was pretty much a Calgarian now.

Some of us like baseball and hockey, and it's quite convenient since the timing of the seasons is very complementary.

I actually don’t think baseball is meant to be watched, at least not the way other sports are.
In other sports, you hang on every moment of the action.
Baseball is something that is meant to happen while you’re having a conversation with someone else. Maybe several people.
You sit outside, have a hot dog and a beer, and enjoy the evening.
Once in a while, some cool #### happens. At the end of the game, it can get quite intense. That’s when you pay attention.
I don’t know how anyone follows every pitch of a baseball season. Like, ####ing kill me.

Ha, this is off on a tangent, but a) I love baseball, absolutely love it, and b) yup, I get it, it can be pretty dry and boring, so I completely get and am fine with those of you that don't like it.
All that said, I can tell its a hockey market, as I love the baseball chatter. In fact, a few years ago, I was glad they introduced more of the baseball chatter - it was a nice breakup from the "who is going to be on the 4th line, maybe as a part-time sub, in the middle of July or early August". Its sports radio, Rogers owns it and the team, it was about time this happened.

Torn on it.
Went to two Hockey finals as a player NAIT Intramurals and and in an Airdrie Beer League and lost both times. Never won at Hockey LOL
Yet won Championships in Little League ball and later on in Men's fastball C and a B. Center fielder and base thief. (made an All Star team in little league, they had them back then in the Okanagan)
Loved playing it!
Still rarely watch and almost never a whole game and theres 150 + games a year! Seriously 3-4 hours of TV a day all summer and fall?
Listen to it on a Radio OR hear endless talking heads from downtown TO talking about it? No thanks.
