Default Cadbury Creme Eggs - yes, they are shrinking

From a BJ Novak interview on Conan O'Brien, he (like Ken, if I recall) hoards Cadbury Creme Eggs to last him throughout the year. So he was able to get an egg from a previous year and compare it to this year. Yes indeed, the new ones are smaller.

Simple solution really - just buy your eggs at one of those stores that sells them from last year's leftover stock. I recommend "Zellers".

Totally agree with you fotze...those things are really nasty and messy. I had a few when I was a kid but I haven't had one since I was about 12. Don't miss them at all. OTOH, I love Mini Eggs/Eggies...could eat a few bags of them easy.

Have you tried the new Mini-Eggs that have Pop Rocks in them? FUN!

Why oh why must they tinker with the greatness of the mini-egg? Can it really be improved?

Aren't Cadbury cream eggs more expensive than a chocolate bar now? Like if you buy one from a convienence store? For like half the chocolate.

What a sham.

I thought that too; about the sugar. Turns out they have less sugar and calories than most other chocolate bars. Not much, but a little less.

The 'creme filling' disgusts me. Ugh. I wonder if the reeeeally little ones are any better ... you know, the ones that come in the bags at Zellers/Wal-Mart ...

Those are mini eggs though, they also have them in a smaller size, you know like the solid chocolate eggs you get that are wrapped in tinfoil? They have those, in Creme Eggs ... I'm wondering if my problem is with the sheer amount of 'creme' in the regular size ones or if it's actually the taste that repels me from them.

I actually prefer them now that they're slightly smaller. Before I had to freeze them in order to eat one without it getting messy. Now I don't have that problem, because it takes like five bites to finish one.
