Nah, he won't sign....look at the way he rubs his ear when asked about what Brad ordered

Looking at Huberdeau's body language and eye movement, I was able to pick-up small nuances that suggested Brad put ketchup on his steak.

Did Brad also cut up his steak?

Better than ketchup thrown on the wall.

Wasn't this forum subpoena by Brian Burke's legal time once for spreading false rumors? You think people would have learned from that experience and not spread this horrible horrible rumors about Brad.

Just night and day from the other Johnny.

Shows more loyalty to the Flames than Gaudreau did and all before playing a single game in the uniform. Up front, communicating with management in good faith and showing appreciation for being wanted here.

Huberdeau did what was right and best for his career at this point, no running around asking the input and permission of everybody close to him. No complaints about uprooting and relocating and proximity to family, just handled it like a professional who is an individual grown up capable of making decisions for himself and not dragging that #### out.

I still reflect back on Johnny's actions and come away thinking they were childish, and the flimsy explanations after the fact didn't help it any. But he was entitled to making his own decisions/mistakes, even if he ultimately let other people in his life make them for him and he gets to live with his choices, but damn did Tkachuk and Huberdeau's conduct of business here make Gaudreau's look bad by comparison.

You can sense there will be solid leadership qualities in Huberdeau.

This cant help but have positive "trickle down" effects for the rest of the team, especially the younger guys.

If anything, he's embracing it.

2) Huberdeau's a pro. He's experienced in this league, he's mature, and he understands the business side of the game, even if he hadn't been traded before. Compared to Johnny and even someone like Tkachuk (who is younger but says all the right things and is obviously comfortable with the media), his maturity is evident.

You absolutely can sense it. Seems like a no excuse kind of player. Here to win and make linemates better, not overly concerned with how well he'll gel with the players personally and whether he'll like them (entitled thinking) he's just focused on the team succeeding. Strikes me as a guy that knows exactly what he brings and doesn't need an environment catered to him to go about his business. Tkachuk and Gaudreau always struck me as more "me" focused and needing a bit of pampering here (because it turns out they weren't thrilled with the city). A little too preoccupied with individual accolades and milestones too.

There's a very mature presence about this guy. I'm glad he's here long term.

Think that he will be a great mentor for Pelletier next year.
Good professional role model for the young player.

After what we've been through recently, it feels so theraputic to listen to an NHL superstar talk about his desire to be here long term and his excitement to join the team.

not sure if anyone picked up on this, but he said I'm very excited to be "working" for Sutter. Not "playing" but "working" - I like that and I think it really shows how he approaches things and the game and how he's not just going to slack off now that he has his big contract.

When do we get to hear from Treliving? Surely he wants to do a victory lap for the media.
