Man Treliving just absolutely nailed this. I still can’t believe Gaudreau leaving and Tkachuk giving a small list of teams to trade to turned into this.
Just absolutely amazing, I hope no one ever underestimates him again.

I'll take it. Getting a star player who I think will age well inked long term is good. Flames org needed this after what happened with Gaudreau and Tkachuk.

Just handed him the Gaudreau contract and penciled in Huberdeau.
I like the contract for the first few years, after that, only time will tell. This season is still an absolute steal at $5.9 million though.
Good PR for sure to get a star player signed long term though. Should help take some of the recent and unwarranted negativity out of the air around Calgary.
