Yeah, the Yankees are juggernauts this year.
Best plan is play like hell to avoid them in round 1 and hope somebody pulls the upset. Better to not throw away the farm this year when our window to win should extend a few more years.
Yankees possibly without Judge next year.

I sure hope the Jays know what they're doing giving up Frasso for White.
Frasso is likely to rocket into the top 100 prospect rankings soon. Guy has elute stuff for #### sakes. He's 23 years old too, I was hoping he'd make his MLB debut next year.
This isn't Kendall Williams we gave up here.

I'll give the Jays FO the benefit of the doubt, they haven't yet traded a prospect that went on to make an ML impact, but damn Frasso has some awesome stuff.
White is a good pick up though, and comes with tons of control.

Everyone hated losing Kendal too and Stripling has saved us. I’m not going to get that concerned about a guy in A ball.

Ya basically every guy coming our way is not a rental.Bass (team option), Merrifield UFA '24, Pop UFA '27, White UFA '28. We know how much Atkins values this.

One thing not touched on is that the core roster is still entirely in tact, which tells me how much the FO values that chemistry in the clubhouse.

There are three top teams this year, Yankees, Dodgers, and Astros. Jays would have to give up a ton to get to that tier. They currently sit in that next tier (Braves, Mets, Jays, Brewers, though that is more up for debate). No reason to give up much if you can't move up to the top tier IMO. They helped the worst part of their team, RP, so I'm not sure what more you can ask for.
There is a ton of luck that goes into the MLB playoffs with the shorter series. The plan this year is obviously to get in as WC1 and hope to go on a run.

Also it’s not like the Jays haven’t made trades recently. They did Berrios last year and Chapman in the offseason. They don’t have to make a big trade every deadline.
