John and Laine together should be fun to watch.

So who moves out to make the cap work? Will be interesting to see the AAV, 7.5 maybe? More?

Well, you got the best passer in the league now. Would be silly not to stay as a defacto triggerman.

I was told by many people this year that this is Draisaitl.

Calgary fans will say Gaudreau went from hockey's best line eh to hockey's best Laine.

Not being a homer but I think Draisaitl is. The players poll voted him as the best passer as well.

Wow... really, I'd figure it was the other way around, Draisaitl being the best trigger man (just based on goals and assists - his one timer)

Him and Johnny are gonna do well together. Expect the Jackets to move Nyquist soon to make cap space

Lotta dough for a one-dimensional player.

They are betting huge on Johnny and him having chemistry.

I get that Laine can rip it with the best of them and can score from virtually anywhere, but I don't think this is a great AAV for a player who drowns his teammates.

If he's going to play with Gaudreau, they better have somebody who can retrieve pucks.

Yea they don’t really have a Lindy in their lineup atm though I’m sure that’s what their hoping one of their young centres could become.

Roslovic, Jenner or Sillinger down the middle. Texier's also played C for them in the past.

Sillinger is probably who I'd try with them with the highest upside.

That’s a bit of an overpayment IMO but he was in the same situation as Tkachuk I believe where his QO could walk him to UFA - so you need To overpay a bit.

I still think there could be more there as a player too…just needs to mature a bit. Wouldn’t be shocked if he’s top 5 in NHL goal scoring next year either.
