I think Bratt is a good player, certainly not a star and I don't think he'll reproduce his 73 point season again - but yeah, as far as being a "now" forward, certainly not a bad piece so long as he's coming alongside Holtz and a 1st.

I don't hate the idea of Mangiapane - Lindholm - Bratt as the top line, but then again - expectations have to be shifted, that's not the basis for a top-6 that does any sort of damage.

As far as I can tell he's just a fan, and he also speculates that perhaps the Flames liked Nemec and that's one of the reasons NJD picked him.

...I mean it's just fan speculation, but if there was a shot of Nemec + Holtz? Heck yeah.

I don't see why it makes much of a difference. If Treliving was quietly shopping him around teams would catch on that he wants out.

Like others have said, there being a bidding war puts pressure on the GMs who really want him to crack so they don't end up losing out on him.
