Rays lost to the Brewers too
Jays back into the first wild card spot for now.
Which has them with the 3rd best record in the AL, so clearly they should rebuild lol
Of course now I've made my post quotable for after the next time the Jays get clobbered with Kikuchi or Berrios on the bump haha

You're right in this case though, a rebuild is a pretty ridiculous suggestion. They're a playoff team, and they're a starter and a pen arm from being legitimate contenders.

Other then what the Yankees are doing this year I think we all expected Jays, Rays and Sox to be in a battle all season long in the AL east.

Awesome awesome awesome news. What a relief for his wife, family, friends and the Blue Jays community. Can't wait to see him back in the booth!

Happy to hear about Buck!
For all my ####ting on Berrios, I just want to say how awesome it is that Stripling has been able to step in and be a super serviceable, and even above average, bottom of the rotation guy.

I haven't seen it mentioned but the Red Sox Closer Tanner Houck is unvaccinated and was unable to travel with the team to their series against the Jays. It's interesting how the Boston media is blaming him for the loss yesterday. I wonder if this will come into play in the post season.

As has been pointed out, if the play-offs started today the Wildcard series would be a best of three between Toronto and Boston held entirely in Toronto.
Houck's ongoing research has a legitimate chance of actually ####ing the Red Sox beyond just the regular season and I am here for it.

I hope it does. My dream is Red Sox/Jays first round series with all three games at Rogers Centre. Red Sox unable to use their closer or Sale.

I like this trend of good starting pitching and scoring runs early. Keep it up and sweep these buttholes.

Honestly that was back to back innings with inside pitches to Kirk that almost caught him.
BS from the Red Sox

The Jays needed to be more patient and make Pivetta throw more pitches that inning.
Completely rudderless from the manager, unfortunately
