At the end of the clip he talks about LIV and PGA needing to work together.
Rich Lerner being full PGA stooge unsuccessfully tries to interrupt him as the interview is not supporting the narrative.

Unsuccessfully? I don't know the guy but can see that he was trying to shut Barkley down when he started speaking about working together. But I don't share your opinion on Barkley "owning" him.
They need to find a way to work together? What would that entail, why would the PGA tour do that? It's a nonsense statement, imo. The LIV golf tounrmant is trying to steal everything they can from the PGA. Why on earth would they give even an inch? That's absurd.
You can speak to the need for better compensation within the PGA or competition from outside of it (which the LIV league is attempting) but in no way would or should the PGA start working with them.

It's not just people from the PGA Tour who talk about atrocities committed by the Saudi regime. Are you suggesting that the PIF hasn't been subject to this condemnation before now? Or that it is time to let bygones be bygones?

The compensation portion of this topic is a little goofy. The points I hear from Phil and others it that the stars aren't getting enough of the money and the tour journeyman have too much say. I could have a little empathy for the situation if this was about the bottom rung guys who might be struggling to break even weekly (although even the 125th player is around a million in prize money plus endorsements). The guys in the 50-125 range wouldn't even have a spot on the liv tour anyway.
The other part of the compensation narrative Phil and others are trying to push is that if this league can pay that much to everyone, then that is what they are worth. I don't buy that angle at all though, since the money is coming straight from the Saudi's with no hope of ever coming close to breaking even.
I'd have a different take on all this if the Saudi's were just giving seed money to a league that could generate enough revenue to pay the players what their paying, but that's not even close to what is happening here. This is just terrible rich dudes paying these guys to walk away from competitive golf.
I am not sure why DoubleK has jumped on board (blind Phil fanboyism?), but as a golf fan, I can't see any positives of this league existing, and I am not really seeing Barkley's answers as owning anyone.

Yeah Barkley didn't own anyone and if there is one thing we absolutely know about Mickelson is that he is looking out for himself. That's his right.
Speaking of owning someone, Chamblee last night brought up Mickelson's public humiliation of Tom Watson after the 2014 Ryder Cup and how Mickelson was the one sowing discord within the team. Chamblee not everyone's cup of tea for sure, but no player ever rushes to Mickelson's defense on anything. He's pretty much Don Johnson in Tin Cup.

Looking at the US Open field, there were more Canadians than I was expecting.
I see that 4 Canadians (Hadwin got in as 1st alternate) made it from the Dallas qualifier!

The US struggled in the Ryder Cup with Tiger and Phil. Maybe too big of a personality and media attention. Remember when Hal Sutton put them together for a match. In 2018, both Mickelson and Woods were captain's picks. Phil was taken out of Saturday entirely and raised a big stink about it.
Last year, the US had neither of them and absolutely crushed the Europeans.

Tiger didn't play the year Watson was captain.

You seem to be cheerleading the liv tour and Barkley for supporting them and calling out the pga tour for working against it, and calling commentators stooges for supporting it.
If you want to ignore that the money is coming from some despicable people, that's fine. But I fail to see anything in the liv tour that is good for golf. Taking away players to go play in a breakaway exhibition league hurts the pro game.
The players that have left are mostly past their prime and I don't really care for any of them much anyway, so if it just stays that way, then no big deal. But if more start to go, then it will start to hurt the game and we lose out as fans.

Nope. Not cheerleading.
I found the live stream to be innovative, fresh and miles better than the PGA Tour's offerings of late.
I much prefer the DP Tour coverage to the PGA Tour.
The endgame to me is: PGA Tour is US only and you will see a merger of sorts between LIV/DP Tour.

Nah there won't be any merger. The endgame of LIV, unquestionably, is to be the only professional golf tour that matters. Their dream would be the top 46 ranked guys, plus Tiger and Phil, are playing LIV and every other tour is basically the Korn Ferry tour. They didn't offer Tiger a billion just to get the DP Tour to merge with them lol. The sportswashing goal, which is the only goal that matters, is to have every golf fan focused exclusively on LIV, and hearing how awesome Saudi Arabia is.

Not sure what is innovative about a 54 hole tournament with a shotgun start, few quality golfers, no fans and guys that aren't competing very hard.
If you preferred that to the environment at the Canadian Open, we have very different tastes.
And that is to say nothing about the people behind the LIV tour which I have a hard time glossing over.

You, and the others who are dead set against LIV, are entitled to your moral superiority/opinion/crusade.

Being against LIV isn't about moral superiority per se. It's just that it's kinda pointless and if it weren't backed by a nation state would either never have happened, or been shut down already. If they wanna go for something different, then actually lean into it. But essentially taking the PGA tour, eliminating most of the top 100, keep most of the most despicable players on tour, remove 18 holes from the tournament, eliminate the cut (a fairly exciting part of a golf weekend) and then making it a shotgun? Just sounds kinda boring. But yeah to capture my interest they really should lean into more gimmicks. Cart golf, speed golf, drunk golf, coke golf...I mean the Saudis are involved so we could even tie in public executions to how players perform. There are ways to make this more interesting, if less like traditional golf.

You could explain what you find innovative and appealing about it. This makes it seem like you have little of substance to say.

As mentioned earlier, I liked the shot gun starts, I think it fits easier into a TV slot.
I enjoyed the number of golf shots they actually showed, as opposed to showing 20 year old Tiger highlights.
I liked the score bug on the left that was constantly updated.
It felt a lot more like a DP Tour broadcast, which is miles better than anything the PGA Tour has done lately.

I'm with you DoubleK. Nothing makes me laugh more than entitled monopolies having to compete, and golf wankers getting burnt openly with bad business decisions. This LIV/PGA drama gives me both.
As for the PGA...they're run as a non-profit. The rumour is they give $0.16 per dollar to charity. The cut off for a good charity is usually around 65%. So the PGA stinks of awareness galas and nepotism hires just like FIFA and the IOC.
Burn it down and lets all enjoy the show.

Shotgun starts are for charity scramble tournaments. No way you can watch a major that's tied with the last group going up the 18 fairway and say, geez this would be better if one guy was on hole 13 and the other on hole 6.
This alone makes the liv tour a joke. Not even mentioning it being 54 holes. It would be like playing a 10 minute third period.

LPGA and PGA Tour Champions both play a lot of 54 hole events.
