Wow what a turn of events, I fully expected Zverev to win that. Sports you never know what you will get, that was crazy

Yeah, saw him come out on crutches, that's sad.

That looks like a long term injury, I would be surprised if he's back before the Australian open.

If Nadal just ended Zverev's career even I might be ready to call him the GOAT.

... Anyway, HAPPY ZVEREV ELIMINATION DAY, EVERYONE!

You might have 22 other reasons on Sunday to call him the GOAT

I want to see a Nadal - Ruud final mainly because if Cilic advances to the final, it's going to be a 7 hour match with 4 hours spent waiting for either guy to serve

No, I'm pretty much on record that I don't consider GS total alone a good reason to consider someone the GOAT. I don't think any additional French Open titles matter at all to Rafa's case, they simply further establish that he is what we already knew he was - the best clay court tennis player ever. That was clear after about six of them. If he keeps winning a couple more Aussies and US Opens (or another Wimbledon, which seems unlikely), I'll be swayed.

I doubt we see Zverev at Wimbledon, in fact I think he's likely out for the remainder of 2022.

Oh man, what a beautiful cross-court chip by Ruud to go up a double-break in set 3 (first set went to Cilic, second set to Ruud).

We have an interloper in the Ruud - Cilic match - A young woman has apparently glued her hand to the net post.

Some weirdo has decided to chain herself to the net apparently? EDIT: Nope, glued herself. Didn't see any sign or anything to indicate what the cause is beyond getting attention...

They have detached her from the net and the tennis will resume shortly.

Edit: Players back on court and doing a 3 min warmup as I type after about a 15 minute delay.

Ruud had a speed wobble there and there was about to be some controversy if he got broken after the long time off court but thankfully he held so no obvious impact from the protester.

I think Ruud would be a more interesting finals opponent for Rafa anyway so this all seems fine.

Ruud up a double-break in set 4. You can stick a fork in Cilic.

Good for Ruud, I think he's got a chance to take a set off Rafa, but if the foot can survive one more match, #22 is looking good. As for Marin, a great run in Paris, he's a hall of famer in my book.

Yea Ruud is a very solid player, this won't be a cake walk final by any means. What level of Nadal will we see, if he plays like he did against Djokovic then I dunno about you but I'm feeling 22
