my guess is that Rafa is getting hardcore injections into his foot before each match. whatever the result, we're going to hear some gruesome stories about it afterwards similar to NHL playoffs about how half of it fell off during the FAA match and they had to carve a temporary replacement out of old racquet handles and overgrip.
honestly though I haven't liked the look of his post-match interviews or pressers. he really does sound like he's expecting to step away for an extended period after this.

Yeah I'm not sure i get the complaint about mixed doubles. There is no "right to prize money".
It's like complaining that the star of a movie that no one watches doesn't make as much as Tom Cruise.

Zverev was up an early break, but Rafa employs some Guns 'n Roses patience and is back on serve in the opening set.
