For the first time in 37 days, Swiatek has lost a set. Zheng was down 5-2 in the first set tie-break and won five straight points. I should also add that Zheng saved five set points in that opening set.

Okay, The Iga is angry and has raced out to a 3-zip lead in set 2.
Edit: MTO for Zheng.

Yeah, this doesn't look good for Zheng any longer as her thigh is heavily wrapped and she is just not moving good at all at the moment.
Edit: Iga's bakery delivers yet another bagel.

This match isn't quite over yet as Iga has started spraying the ball in this 3rd set and Zheng is hanging in there.
Edit: Okay, now it's over. Swiatek into the quarter-finals with a 6-7 6-0 6-2 win.

Apparently the Iga was not amused about Zheng's appalling presumption in winning a set off of her, as those last two were not exactly competitive, especially at the end.
You get the sense that she's kind of bored at this point, honestly. Like at any given point she has another level, possibly two, to step up her game and just blow by whoever's across the court.

It's too bad Zheng got injured as her movement was greatly hampered early in set 2 and for the rest of the match. Swiatek likely goes on to win, but she certainly wasn't in the best of form today.

So it looks like I'm getting up early again to watch Leylah take on southpaw Martina Trevisan as the match is slated to start at 4 am Mountain time Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, Marin Cilic is up two sets to love on Daniil Medvedev.
Edit: Cilic advances in straight sets 6-2 6-3 6-2. Two of the supposed next Big 3 are gone with the Fraud about to be eliminated by Charlie.

One of Rune, Ruud, Rublev, or Cilic will make the French Open men's final.

I knew Yogurt's odds going in were out of whack. honestly if the 1HBH isn't already dead at the top of the sport, it's on life support and Carlitos has his hand on the plug.

Imagine having tickets to the men's quarters in two days as opposed to tomorrow
I'd be so annoyed but that's also something that would absolutely happen to me.

The thing is, this is the slam where Yogurt gets the most time on his one-handed backhand. Of the guys remaining at the bottom of the draw, Casper Ruud is my pick to make the final.

Three games in and Trevisan is up an early break serving at 2-1.

Trevisan hits the ball with a lot of topspin (especially off the forehand) and Leylah is having difficulty with how high the ball is bouncing.
Edit: MTO for Leylah (looking at the top of her foot).
Edit 2: Magic spray can makes an appearance.

Looked like Leylah's dad was giving the signal to Leylah to retire. She is certainly not moving all that great at the moment as Trevisan is serving at 5-2 in set 1.
Edit: Trevisan takes the opening set 6-2

Leylah employing some serve-and-volley to start set 2 on the attempt to keep the points as short as possible. Wins the first game of set 2.

Leylah breaks and is serving at 3-1 in set 2.
Edit: Trevisan breaks right back.

I'm thinking if this wasn't a slam that Leylah would have pulled the plug, but if she can somehow pull out this second set, who knows? Between the magic spray and the pills kicking in, she's moving better now.
