It is truly hilarious how many guys in the NHL are afraid of Lucic. I mean, I get it. The guy is a beast. It’s just funny how many guys will try to catch him off guard or do something just when the refs are in position to protect them. Jamie Benn, Evander Kane, Zack Kassian… they fancy themselves as “tough guys” but none of them will ever square up with Lucic.
After the flames stomp all over the oilers in game 2 and then head up to Edmonton… I think Lucic should politely skate over to the anthem singer after the anthem is done in game 3 and ask for the microphone… then put on some sunglasses and stand at centre ice… then ask the whole oilers team who has the guts to enter the ring with him right now. The boos would rain down from the oilers fans… but despite the challenge, not a single oiler would step up.
Then Lucic just says “that’s what I thought”. Drops the mic at center ice.

I think Evander Kane is as good or better than Matthew Tkachuck.
Heard all day from coworkers how neanderthal Kassian would get Tkachuck off his game. I told them not a chance any of Lucic, Ritchie, Gudbrandson, or Zadorov can annihilate the Oilers toughest guy.
Nice to see Coleman pot a couple. I had no complaints about his round 1 but he's way overdue to pot a few here. Next is Jarnkrok who I think will pot a few once he breaks through. If the middle 6 start scoring things will be good.
Markstrom with his worst game of the year..still win by 3.
I heard that live and fell to the ground laughing. Like how stupid can you actually be. I bet Chucky was told about it too. Hopefully that fires him up all series. What a joke.

Then, somewhere along the game, Hunter or Semenko would take a run at your best players. The way the league protects these pretty boys is infuriating!

Take a look at all the goals tonight. How many actually go in on Oettinger? Both of Coleman’s maybe? I bet he would have saved the deflection. Maybe Tkachuk’s PP goal.
So refreshing to have actual humans in net for the other team now.
