I guarantee Marky takes the blame for his poor play unlike Mike "the glare" Smith on the other side.

Flames were 69% xGF and had the edge 5-2 in xGF. High Danger chances were 19-7.

Keep playing that way and they will be fine.

Markstrom had a stinker and they still won. A little sloppy to end the second as they were pushing too hard for offence but really they didn’t give up a lot.

Refocus and come out just as hard in game two.

That was ugly, but hopefully it keeps the Flames hungry. An easy win might have left them complacent.

Up 1-0 in round 2.

That’s a giant ####ing win any way you slice it homie.

I've grown in the last five minutes to think it's good for us, that we were tempered in the second half. With an 8-2 I might have gone full Toronto building a parade float after 5 wins.

Still remembering when BoLevi said Gaudreau and Tkachuk sucked after game 3 against the Stars and nothing they could do for the rest of the playoffs would get the stink of being losers off them.

WOOOHOOOOO.

Not pretty, but I think there's a silver lining. They go up 1-0, yet sutter's going to be just as annoyed and challenging the team as the coach of Edmonton. Could mean that the flames don't do their typical gm2 drop off (touchwood).

When we were up 2-0 after 51 seconds, I texted my bro-in-law in Edmonton that it's going to be a bizarre game. I stand by my comment.

Flames win 9-2

And that’s being generous

When Markstrom was having trouble, the team in front of him got the goals to stay ahead and let him settle. It was a crazy one, but they got each other through it.

It’s playoffs. Who cares how we won. Markstrom stepped up to win games last series. Players stepped up to win this one.

On to the next game.

Guys, guys,

They're talking about injecting Holloway into their top 9 to save them now.

To nobody's surprise, Nurse is not a good hockey player. Maybe $9.25 good, but not 9.25 million good.

Ha. Ha. Stupid Oilers. Lots to clean up for sure but they did it. Congratulations to the better team.

Dallas may have done us a favor by playing us so tight. We know we can shut it down if needed. Flames were quite dominant.
