Can't remember the last time the Flames scored first. Game 1 of the Dallas series I guess? Would be nice to see that happen tonight so that we're not constantly chasing the game. I'm stuck at work tonight, so I won't be able to watch most of the game. Just hope we win.

Go Flames!

They don't. There was a big disclaimer on the email for red lot tickets about it this morning.

AC should tweet out to the referee association gifs of McDavid stick grabs and embellishing hooks by tucking it under his arm.

Gotta do our part to get some visibility to that tired trope they keep falling for.

I see Staples is predicting an Oilers victory in the series based on McDavid getting twice his average playoff PPG in the first round. I guess he’s forgotten about sample size and the fact that the Oilers were playing against the weakest, most inexperienced team that made the playoffs (with Doughty out).

Flames need to control the pace and style of this game on home ice. Bring the game into the trenches, lean on their D on the forecheck, and win this game by leveraging our cycle game. That's a game we control and the style that will win us this series.

We will see the mental makeup of the Flames to start this series. Push through the distractions and heightened emotions, play a hard, disciplined game and we're a hard team to beat.

Let Edmonton make the mistakes, get too aggressive etc. Flames can't start like they tried starting against Dallas. Too much physicality and I guarantee a run to the box.

The core of each of these teams hate each other. Get ready for a physical series and I tight checking because I don't think Edmonton can play the way they did vs the kings and be successful..

Would like to see the Flames capitalize as the better team and start the series with a comfortable win. Come out strong with the home crowd energy and get a couple first period goals. Smith is no Oettinger. Flames win 4-2. Toffoli with 2, Coleman and Lindholm with the others.

God, I hope we light up Mike Smith tonight! I can't wait for this. I still remember the last time we played. Gonna wear my red Loob jersey tonight. I can't believe how long it has been! GO FLAMES GO!!!

20% (which would be a tragedy)

Hopefully the refs won't be shy to call Kassian when he leaves his feet to make a hit, which will probably happen on his first shift.

As I've said all season the Oilers are 2 forwards and a power play. That's pretty much it. Yes, I know Smith played fairly well in the last series but he's not a concern. Limit McDavid's chances, hit Draisaitl every chance you get, and for goodness sake.......don't take a bunch of penalties. The Oilers are banking on the PP to win them a game or two, at least.

Going to be fun. Hope they just let them play.

I would be happy with anything less than 25%

My worry is the rabid Oiler fanbase will pay any dollar amount to go, and it'll be too hard for Flames STHs to turn down that sweet sweet playoff money.
