I think you’re better to focus on quality over quantity. The tally may be the undoing of it. You can crown a winner just by opinion.

If the most previous one is a litmus, I’d say it was waaaaay to long and most of it was pretty basic, minor or even correct.

Should be more reserved for “trade this guy” “fire this person” etc. not “that’s a dumb penalty”

I enjoy it. I view the GT threads but I am doing that less and less. It can be a pretty toxic thread. Wrapping up the most egregious comments in a WoS post just magically makes them funny. I like that. I'm sure I would look at the GT thread less and just go view those comments for giggles.

My thoughts:
Use NSFW tags.
Wins only, losses are just one big WoS thread.
If it just ends up being a cool playoff one of type thing that is cool. Maybe it is our good luck charm?

Names? I am totally cool with keeping them there. However, I never pay attention to the username of the poster. I only know Gaskal creates the ATL because of people waiting for Gaskals post comments in the PGT.

I think it’s great. If you don’t have a brain to mouth/keyboard filter, maybe a public forum isn’t the place for you. Some comments are so over the top, they deserve recognition.

Isn’t the rule to not spew everything that’s on your mind in the heat of the moment? Seems to be the case when your name is attached and your reputation is on the line. The veil of anonymity invites people to remove their filter and say everything that comes to mind all the time. Maybe seeing your collective comments when they’re not scattered amongst several hundred others could be a revelation. If your like this when your out with your pals, they probably find you insufferable, but it’s the internet, so let ‘er rip? Seems odd.

I think there's a distiction to be made here... someone making an occassional dumb comment, coming from a place of emotional angst, during a difficult moment... vs a person habitually making dumb comments and bashing the team on a regular basis. Two very different things, IMO. But, it seems, the board is unlikely to distinguinsh between the two.

This is true, and I think those that temporarily go to the dark places can look back at themselves and have a chuckle. Those that find this an outrage really need to take a step back any maybe lighten up a bit.

There might be a pretty big distinction, but in either context I think its possible to have a sense of humour about it, in retrospect.

e.g. "Lol. Damn I was worked up, I deserved that!"

We can just relish the ones from obvious trolls a little more than the others.

e.g. "Haha what a ridiculous post. This guy is unreal!"

I dont have any issue with most of it if djsFlames is making the argument that he's just C&Ping what's already been posted in the GT. What gets me is the part where he awards the "crown of thorns" at the end. Seems like a blatant personal attack and IMO isnt necessary

The last crowned poster took it very gracefully. Better than some who weren't even on it.

You bring up a good point though in that it might not always be the case..

Just curious. Who made you judge, jury, and executioner? Seems there are forum rules that this grossly violates and would result in a banning if one of the "negative posters" did something similar. Don't want to say there is a massive amount of hypocrisy involved, but there appears to be a massive amount of hypocrisy involved by the very people who would complain loudest if the tables were turned. Having been on both sides over the years, this is extremely bad form and smells of a shark-jumping moment.

Took long enough for a juicy response like this. Those are some rather intense words to describe what's essentially a joke meant to provide entertainment for all.

If it makes you feel even a teenie, tiny bit better, I judge, jury and execute myself by equal terms as everybody else.

I'm just giving the people what they (most of them) appear to want more of.

This thread is your opportunity to bargain some terms that would be more palatable to you.

I see people bashing rather than taking up that opportunity.

And if it truly was such an egregious violation I think the mods or Bingo would've spoken up in opposition by now. They haven't. So this thing has essentially been greenlit.

So the show must go on. Feel free to chime in with some constructive suggestions though.

The WoS creators are just trying too hard to be one of the cool kids. But that's fine on a forum.

They better hope that the Flames win the cup though, or they may have the tables flipped!

I don't even know who the moderators are anymore or if they have commented on this but Bingo has said he doesn't care one way or the other but don't confuse that with actually getting the green light.
