I am seeing there is a lot of anger from Oiler fans that the play that led to the King's 3rd goal (scored by AA) should have been an icing. I think the refs were actually trying to help the Oilers there. Kulak was clearly committing interference by holding the King's player from trying to get to the puck. They should have called a penalty on Kulak but let it go so they could battle for the puck. Oilers lost the battle, but at that moment in time, there were at least given a freebie by the refs. They just failed to take advantage of it.

That was 100% a blatant penalty on the oilers… uncalled.

He will get fined.
Suspending him is paramount to giving the series to the Kings.

I don’t know about that. Russell would draw in, and I really don’t think he’s worse at this point.

Whatever the case, the circumstances shouldn’t matter and a suspendable offence should be a suspendable offence, period. But it won’t be.

as much as i am taking some glee in seeing the oielrs with thier backs against the wall, it is hard to feel good, given the flames are one game away from being in the same spot and I would also like to see a Battle of Alberta

If this were a one-off, you would shrug it off as frustration, or it came out wrong, or whatever. No big deal in any way.

But it's not a one-off. McDavid makes these types of comments regularly. He comes across as a guy who throws team-mates under the bus, regularly. He demonstrates poor or weak leadership regularly. A flat out comes across as selfish and not a team player, regularly.

They should, but they won’t. He was the initiator with a big swinging slash in that net front battle. And despite us saying Nurse is a stupid player, he knew exactly what he was doing. You can always get away with some extra roughness when you’re on the PK. Nurse isn’t making that play when it’s even strength 5 minutes into the game, because it would actually be called then.

I couldn't care less about a battle of Alberta. Oilers can f*** right off. That team doesn't even deserve to be in the playoffs, let alone round 2. Only reason they're here is because Vegas crapped the bed down the stretch.
