Oh man I forgot to add that Markstrom comment about him being "by far the worst goalie on the ice" after allowing one goal late.

That one was gold.
I believe the term that was bantered around from games 2 to 3 was "out-goalied". lol
Losers.

I doubt anyone is being called out for the occasional thoughtful criticism, particularly of a play within the game, in a GT. It does get tiresome when the same posters make the same complaints about the same players that often have little to do with the game. Or when a poster with a particular whipping boy virtually hovers over the keyboard waiting for a mistake other players make all game long.

The post was straight up in bad taste and maybe some posters need to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they want to be part of the problem or the solution because we have a divide between posters drawing lines in the sane and both sides can and should be better.
Not sure I'd ever be embarrassed or regretful for having hope, to be honest.

Just doesn't add up.

And for the record there are shades on both sides. There is a huge difference between a person not liking the way the game is going and having a bad feeling about the Flames chances and the guy that doesn't think Gaudreau and Tkachuk are worth bringing back, and feel the need to suggest the franchise has always sucked and will always suck in the middle of the first period in a playoff game.

I love the wall of shame. It holds people accountable for what they put on the board. If they are over-the-top negative, what is wrong with pointing it out.

Discussion forums are better when people take a moment to decide if they want a post to be attached to their name. We get more thoughtful discussions and not simply emotional blatherings.

I was surprised to hear all 3 members of the TBS broadcast call the Mangi penalty a non existent penalty. They said it was simply a case of Robertson being too tired to stand up after a 3.5 minute shift.

Brutal game management call.

Hanifin was incredible on the Lindholm goal. Gets the drop pass from Johnny and flies in and around Pavelski, a bit of a risky centering pass, but he flies back and past 3 other players (including Lindholm) to keep it in, which directly leads to Dallas not covering the slot for Lindholm to rip it while all alone.

I thought Zadorov was good yesterday. He did a great job clearing the puck when Markstrom was down.

I'll gladly volunteer as nightly tribute to the wall of shame, I love whining as if I could play better when someone does something I don't like with the benefit of hindsight and my cozy chair

The D were all really good. Tanev was Tanev. Andersson played well but for a bad shot choice. Kylington was a little lost but overall not a liability.

I don't understand what you are getting at. Clearly no side is going to be embarassed of their takes because that was their feeling at that time. It's about being mocked for your take. Nobody should be mocked for having hope nor should they be mocked about feeling hopeless. It's a fan forum and there are going to be all sorts of takes. Nobody should be mocked for their take unless it's straight up trolling and that's where hopefully the mods would step in.

If the Flames lose this series the posters saying I told you so are the posters who said the team would be a bottom feeder in September.

In a league where 1 of 32 teams win in the end its pretty easy to be "right" being negative all the time. I do wonder why bother being a fan if you can't enjoy a season as one of the top teams though. Yeah they are in a tough playoff series, its not supposed to be easy.

Ref blaming is so Oileresque. Accept that they fully suck for every team.

30 seconds before on THE shift a star was tripped up in the corner giving the Flames the puck back. 99% of the time a penalty would have been called.

Just be glad they didn't suck enough to give the Stars a 5 on 3 or a penalty shot last night.

The Stars gave themselves a 5 on 3 against...stick in the face is a stick in the face

PS is a stick in the hands, same call that decided the last game but Gaudreau was on a breakaway not on the boards

I was super optimistic prior to game 1.

I was pessimistic prior to game 2, 3, & 4.

Now I'm super optimistic again.

My posting history since the playoffs began reflect this and if I make the Wall of Shame I would laugh. This is just a game guys.

When Zadorov goes for one his runs into the offensive zone with the puck, it just seems to change the complexion of the play at the time. It often allows some Flames' players to make a much needed change or turns the game flow towards the opponent when it looked like it was coming our way. He seems to extend it longer than I think he will, as well.

and? as we've seen before they have not called clear infractions before. and not just against the Flames. they just truly suck. Thats why it's laughable some of these guys were given standing O's in their last game.

hall of shame for me would be comments like

"Markstom is not elite and costing them the series" (after he gave up 4 goals in 3 games)

not

"I don't think they are playing well enough I think they might blow it"
