I may be being optimistic but I think the team actually has a puck bounce that goes in their favor tonight.

Gonna be crazy

1st in the regular season and 3rd in the playoffs.

I'm not making a case for him being Guy Carboneau believe me, but if you're fleshing out a fourth line he seems to fit the bill. Big, physical, can skate, doesn't give up much.

Season long fluke? Sure could be ... but it's continued into the playoffs.

Best defensive team i have ever seen that wasnt Team Canada in Sochi.

I remember there was a game late in that season where the Kings came into the dome and so completely dominated the Flames and you could tell they were only doing what they were going to do moving forward. It was pretty eye opening actually.

I got them at 15-1 iirc for 50 bucks...returned 800.

The best part was the way they rolled the Canucks. A lot of their "fans" who had been trolling this forum for a couple seasons sure did disappear quickly.

I think so. Rooney had a thing with Phaneuf years ago. Skilliter is not terrible.

GFG.
Yes, it has been tough to do watch games. It made for a lot of long days, as I watched 80 percent of the flames games this year. Thank gosh for IPTV services!

I'd argue Chicago in 2010 was every bit as good. Maybe not defensively, but they had the horses to score their way out of just about anything.

4-2 over Nashville
4-2 over Canucks
4-0 over SJ
4-2 over Philly

Not a single series was really ever in doubt. Even when they hoisted the cup Kane (or Toews, I don't recall) was overheard saying "We just won the cup, can you f------ believe it"??

That team made winning a cup look painfully easy.

That is the foundation of your second line. If you are changing things, why not address the main issue?
Only thing I can't think of is that Sutter plans to deploy them as something other than a traditional 2nd line.

Sutter is not an idiot. He knows hockey. He sees the lack of scoring from our 'middle six' .... Gotta trust He knows how to fix it.

Yes, to those who know me on CP, I moved to London for a year or more…..

Crash the net, don’t be perimeter players.

For the love of god, we need Toffoli, Backlund and Hanifin to step up their games. Not to mention the other usual suspects.
Just know that you're not the only one... so when the flames are 3-0 at 4am in the morning I too will share your late night pain!

I have zero issues with the 4th line. They're doing what's needed and i see no reason for a change.

There are lots of players in the top 9 from whom we need production starting now.

I have little doubt we see an exceptionally strong game from the Flames tonight. Just crossing my fingers we don't get any bad bounces or inopportune goalie gaffes. Not much margin for error in this series anymore.

I'd peg this as the biggest game for this franchise since Game 1 against the Ducks in 2015. Huge fork in the road moment for this team and most people that work for it. I really really hope Flames can rise to the occasion and win, hopefully by a lot. And maybe get a spear in on Benn when the game is clearly out of reach

Not a fan of the line combos. 4th line is playing well, should have mixed up lines 2 and 3.

The Flames better pull this one out, it'll look awfully pathetic if they show no resolve, that will be heightened by the fact all 4 teams down 2 - 1 yesterday, won. I see the Rangers and Panthers both winning tonight as well.

Please win.

Those lines are hilariously bad.

Ritchie - Backlund - Toffoli

Ugly ugly ugly.

Just baffling when Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman is there for the taking.

Oh well.
