Ingram starting. Probably the last you will see of Rittich in the NHL.

Ingram blew a 4-0 lead to the cotes giving up 5 unanswered in regulation
its still unreal how it all unfolded, .01 goal and then the 5 goal regulation comeback. Dallas was the Flames destiny

The whole team blew the 4-0 lead. I don't see any reason to suppose that Rittich would have done better.

A good NHL starting goalie would probably have won that game, but the Predators only had one and he was injured. It all comes back to Saros going down.

yeah he may have been equally poor but Ingram was terrible in that game
5.0 .815 against the Yotes

Sure… and then again, Rittich was terrible against the Flames. If he had held on for the win, the game against the Coyotes wouldn't even have mattered. Nashville had the first tiebreaker over Dallas.

To be fair, Dallas blew their own 3-0 lead against Arizona.

Just a bizarre way to finish out the last week of the regular season...

They certainly both blew it, neither has a prayer of knocking off the Avs but it's Ingram's turn to get a start

they did, but they got a point...and they beat Nashville by a point. Its a low bar.

Many years ago (for I am very old) I used to play tabletop hockey simulators – Strat-O-Matic and games like that.
We had one or two silly people who liked to do impossible things, like play their backup goalie at forward, or a skater in net. So we came up with the ‘Brown Pod Rule’: If you put a player in a position he absolutely could not play, then any time the puck went to that player it was an automatic turnover. (Or, if the Brown Pod was in net, an automatic goal.)

Since Saros went down, the Preds have had two brown pods in goal. They can split the blame equally between them.

I get the feeling that Rittich will play again in this series as Ingram will probably get pulled at some point. Then it will probably be the last of Rittich in the NHL but you just never know I guess.

Ingram playing better. Feel bad for Dave. Will probably be tough to get an NHL job next year. Might have to work his way back up again if he is able to. I wish him the best of luck.

Ingram played really well as the Predators held on for dear life for much of that one. This one does look like it will be 8 wasted days for the Predators.

Any word on Kuemper? Looked pretty freaked out about what had happened. Didn’t see any blood though.

Bednar said yesterday; he could start game 4 if swelling goes down.
