Dallas goes as their top line goes. I think Dallas makes a good opponent for Calgary. Slow down the Hintz/Pavelski/Robertson line and Calgary wins this in 5.

There is a 40% discount for STH , to get face value divide by .60

For example. If your STH cost is $60, $60/.6=$100

Should be Flames in five, but Dallas has always been a tough team for the Flames. We'll see how they face the sign of adversity in the post season and if they fold the tents like they have in the past. Different team and some better veteran leadership, but the ghosts of the past may still haunt some of the players. This will be one of the series to keep an eye on for possible upsets.

Yeah should be Flames in five or six. Stars have nine regulars over 30, four of them over 35. Some good hard playoff contact, plus travel and playing at altitude hopefully puts these guys away early.

This is wild, I wanted Dallas over Nashville, but I saw the score 4-1 last night and thought no way the coyotes will come back from that in regulation. Oops.

I think the flames will win in 5 games. This team is ready and Dallas isn’t near as strong as us, they don’t have the depth and their stats are aging.

This series should be a good momentum builder for the Flames after losing to them a few seasons ago. Hopefully the Flames can win this series, get revenge, and through the first round.

Flames in 6. I think their goalie is going to be a difference maker and I can also see Radulov and Pavelski scoring big goals. That's why, the Flames need to be physical and laser focused.

Default WCQF: PAC(1) Calgary Flames vs WC(1) Dallas Stars

Top six (large edge to Flames)
Bottom six (large edge to Flames)
Top pair (even/slight edge to Flames)
Bottom 4 (large edge to Flames)
Special teams (large edge to Flames)
Goalie (moderate edge to Flames)
Coach (massive edge to Flames)

This isn’t going to be much of a series. Flames in 4.

Looking at the 2020 lineup below vs now, there's no question we've beefed up with the addition of Gudbranson, Zadorov and Ritchie to push back against other teams, gotten a massive offensive boost with our new top line, upgraded goaltending significantly with the addition of Markstrom/Vladar and gotten rid of that putrid 4th line with Janko and Rinaldo. Throw an elite coach there and this thing is over in 5.

Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Elias Lindholm
Andrew Mangiapane - Mikael Backlund - Matthew Tkachuk
Milan Lucic - Sam Bennett - Dillon Dube
Mark Jankowski / Zac Rinaldo - Derek Ryan
Tobias Rieder

Mark Giordano - TJ Brodie
Noah Hanifin - Rasmus Andersson
Derek Forbort - Erik Gustafsson

Cam Talbot
David Rittich

God dammit. Probably would have been able to convince pops to take a trip to Nashville. Also thought they are an easier out w Saros down and a lack of cheap shot artists.

Can’t take Dallas lightly. Go Flames.

Mangiapane has really grown since then too. Dube was great in that series but recently has been heating up even more. Hanifin and Andersson are also improved.

I really like our team going in to this

If the Flames can stop Joe Pavelski they will win.

He worries me.

Less annoying away rink to play in. I can take the Stars chant over everything else Nashville plays/does so my blood pressure should be lower as I watch which is good.

Stars always play the Flames tough but at some point their fading, ahem, stars will fall off a cliff. Pavelski, Benn, Seguin, Radulov. Always a thorn in the Flames side but not this year.

Oh, and Tkachuk, settle down just a touch and stay healthy this year. K? Thx

I’m going to be in London for games 3-6. The good news is I have means to watch the games (I use a slingbox….they don’t sell them anymore but it works well), but I’m already going to be messed up over time zones and now I have to figure out whether I will watch it live or if I am able to try to sleep properly and delay watching the game.

Markstrom in peak form and that top line are a machine.
