Default Ladies and Gentlemen.... Johnny 600!

5th all-time in points as a Flame, only 16 15 more to go to tie Nieuwendyk for 4th.

Not only does he hit 600, but he does it with one of the best goals of the season! How many times do players hit milestones like this with that good of a play?

LOL. Amber mentioning JG closing on McDavid. That must have tasted bad in his mouth.

Tkachuk has now equaled Lanny and Iggy's most productive Flames seasons at 98

Good for Johnny, that’s why I think he’ll re-sign here just because he’s putting together a great career and is already among the best in Flames history.

Let’s gooooo Johnny!!

What a season by Gaudreau. It is not just the points alone, but how he dominates the game beyond the scoring is also so much fun to watch. His game has blossomed under Sutter

Who would've thought a player deemed "too small for the NHL" would become not only a dynamic playmaker but an absolute world class two way hockey player. Johnny is lighting it up at both ends of the ice, something he probably never even saw himself doing.

He's having a season that would fit right in with peak Yzerman, Sakic, Crosby, you name it. Unbelievable year and couldn't be more impressed with the work he put into rounding out his game.

Congrats Johnny!!

Amazing season. He is playing with confidence in all three zones. He has really matured a lot, to the point where you could see him wearing a letter.

Legendary season that is up there with the greats.

Probably unlike anything you'll see for a while given the defensive aspect of it.

Honestly even if he doesn’t win the scoring race, who the hell cares?

So McLotteryball managed to scrape a few extra gifts from the Powerplay…big deal.

Hart should come down to Jonny, Huberdeau, Matthews and Josi. McDolt doesn’t even make my top 5.

I know they say +/- is a useless stat, but when you have the best +/- since Wayne in his Oiler days, it means something.

That’s a dominating season.

True. But understand that Tkachuk isn’t even the best player on his line, much less the team

He also has equaled the best year of old dog Keith, which is also noteworthy

They are wrong.

+/- matters

Teams that outscore other teams win

The players that make that happen matter

Exactly. It’s a number that measures ACTUAL outcomes on the ice, just like final scores do. It’s no more of a flawed stat than final scores are.

Yes, we can look at expected goals and percentages, etc. but there has to be sone methodology in those stats that could potentially be flawed as well.

+/- isn’t a useless stat, or a flawed stat. It IS a stat that requires some interpretation and checking with other stats as well. It’s an individual start but is significantly affected by others. How good are your linemates, how good is your defence, how good is your goaltending, his good is your team.

Again, it’s always good when you are the best on the team.

It’s really good when you are the best in the league.

When you have the highest +/- by ANYONE in the last 35 years, that’s beyond really good. And certainly means something.

I think it is a (mostly) useless stat, but I can’t disagree with this, it does mean something.
