From my vantage point it's seemed like Lewis and Lucic gets a lot of passes for iffy play at times from Sutter so interesting to see him mad at one of his golden boys. Thought the same of Richardson to start the season, but that dwindled and the guy didn't play much.

of the list (the top 50) all are HOFers except 2 not yet eligible (McDavid, Sedin edit oops add Jagr) and then Hodge ( played with guys named Orr and Esposito) and Nicholls (played with a guy named Gretzky- although to be fair to Nicholls that was also just a crazy good season as his time with 99 was moreso on the PP)

If Gaudreau gets to 110 points and +60, no players has done both since Gretzky in 87.
Okay but how many of them have fought Chara?

Johnny challenged Chara to a fight but the big man backed down and refused.

30 NHL players currently have 32 or more goals.
Calgary has 4 of them.
No other team has more than 2.

Not sure who dragged who out of Trottier Bossy.
Bossy was more of the driver of that line than Trottier. If you do a year by year comparison Bossy was more consistent. If Bossy had a season with lower points, so did Trottier. If Trottier had a season with lower points, Bossy still scored more. Once Bossy came into the league Trottier's totals increased. Once Bossy left Trottier's totals declined a little. This isn't to take anything away from Trottier because he was still a great player.

Offense wise - probably Bossy- although Trottier did put up 95 as a rookie on a four year old franchise/ I think they were a perfect 1a/1b and trottier as a center brought a lot to the table

This is why the Flames are gonna fall flat in the playoffs, they spend too much energy winning in the regular season.
McHobo with another 22+ minutes on the night, Gaudreau with 17

I don't know, McDavid and Draisaitl playing 95 games worth of normal forward ice time seems more likely to burn out a team than the Flames rolling lines and running up scores in their blowout wins.

First regular season since 2006 where I actually thought we have cup chances. What a great feeling.

Nothing is better than fine spring weather, long evenings and meaningful Flames hockey.

Finally we can honk our horns in unison driving down the street for something not ####ing moronic.

Tkachuck is as good around the net in tight spaces as anyone else in the league. He's a great complement for Gaudreau who finds guys and threads those passes as well as anyone.

Been a fun duo to watch this year.

I found myself thinking "Ah, this is what Monahan used to benefit from and take advantage of." last night. Tkachuck getting really good quality shots off in very tight, coming off excellent passes from a skating Gaudreau.

I get what joe fresh is trying to say, but, for me it is hard to take a lot away from that game last night given the Yotes might have trouble competing in the AHL.

A few more games like that and the Yotes can move to Innisfail or play out of the Acadia rec ctr

I feel like Lindholm is similar too. He's getting a great shot off close to the net when receiving thread the needle passes from Tkachuk or Johnny.

But to be fair, Lindholm can also score in other situations too.
