A's just took 3 out of 4 at Tropicana, don't sleep on them.

I'm full of hot takes, I've been here a long time. I still say, the team is being held back by Montoyo.
A fun wager. If the Jays get to 45 losses first I win, 45 wins first, you win
Anyone on my side?

Jays are on pace for 92 wins (I know seven games is too short to really project, but that's how the math works right now).
Even the best teams only win around 6 games per 10. A 100 win team wins 6.17 games per 10.
Try to win each series. They won the first series 2-1 and split the second series 2-2 (and arguably trotted out a pretty weak lineup for game 4 of the Yankees series given schedule workload in the first bit of the season).
Jays will be just fine.

I'll take a friendly money wager if you're down? Always fun to have wagers on the go to make watching more interesting.

Ahh the Oakland Athletics. A franchise being held hostage by an owner who wants to leave Oakland and/or leverage the city for a new stadium by fielding the worst roster possible. And yet here they are 4-3 and punching well above their weight class again.

Just the start of another 5 year cycle, till the prospects they received turn into stars, and sell. Rinse and repeat. Most of the fans hate the owner for putting them through this trauma. But most of these fans have been fans for 20 to 30+ years. Being a fan of a team that is always the under dog has a certain charm, over just buying a championship.

I don't actually want to actively cheer against the Blue Jays! I just really think the manager is terrible.
If you want to do a money wager how about for charity? $20 to the winners charity?

There was a time when the A’s were big spenders. They had the highest payroll in ‘91 at 31 million. Their active payroll this year? 36 million... Yikes. Different owner and different era. But that’s still pretty damning. Sad situation.

I know Bo is an aggressive hitter, it's how he plays baseball, and it's likely how he will continue to play baseball, it's what has brought him success, but maybe just take a first pitch! Just once.

Looked like Bo may have missed the bag but also too close to say definitively. 1 for 2 on close calls tonight.

So this time the call on the field stands but not the other review? Oh well at least Oakland lost their challenge so we don't have to go through that every close play.

Damn, I was thinking $100 to "not charity", but whichever you choose I'm good with.
a) Blue Jays get 45 wins before 45 losses = $100
b) Blue Jays get 60 wins before 45 losses = $200 (to me if they get 60, to you if less)
c) Blue Jays get 45 wins before 45 losses = $20 to charity
Have some fun, girlysports!! Your pick, though. I'm good with whatever.

I think he wedged his foot. More of a malfunction than bad decision.
