That would be neat. 2nd overall pick -- the Kraken could use some positive news after a pretty dismal inaugural season...

Yes, he signed with them yesterday and is expected to make his debut in one of their games this week.

Hope it’s not the Flames’ game. The Flames seem to be great at giving up landmark goals like “first career NHL goal”

Just getting ahead of it now: Congrats Berniers on your first NHL goal.

Just give it a try:

Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk
Mangiapane-Dube-Tofolli
Coleman-Backlund-Jarnkrok
Lucic-Carpenter-Lewis

2nd line is getting stale.

When we acquired him I thought these three would make the perfect shutdown line.

All are strong defensively, are a bit gritty and can skate.

Yes. Coleman-Backlund-Jarnkrok is something I've wanted to see since we acquired him.

I'm pretty confident that if the Flames had been in danger of losing that game, and JG had a chance to score...he would have. The W and team mean more than the goal and the "I".

(Something some No-Goods could, but likely won't, learn.)

That entire line was on board with it, that's what chucky was handling the puck so poorly... it was on purpose.

Put the 2nd and 3rd lines together that had past success in limited time together:

Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk (TOI-849min, GF%-70.3, xGF%-61.4)
Mangiapane-Ruzicka-Toffoli (TOI-25min, GF%-100, xGF%-64.1)
Dube-Backlund-Coleman (TOI-15min, GF%-nil, xGF%-67.5)
Lucic-Carpenter-Ritchie (TOI-25min, GF%-67, xGF%-69.6)

This leaves Lewis and Jarnkrok out of the mix which is fine for a game or two down the stretch. If it leads to consistent secondary scoring we won't be sad.
