April 18 v Blackhawks: W - because this is a team that has tee times booked already.
April 19 v Predators: W - because the Flames are going to send a message they mean business come post season.
April 21 v Stars: L - because the Stars are fighting for something and the Flames will have clinched.
April 23 v Canucks: W - because Sutter doesn't wan t to lose to a rival.
April 26 v Predators: L - because the Flames will be resting bodies and the Preds are fighting for their playoff lives.
April 28 v Wild: Does it matter? Both teams will be resting bodies for the post season.
April 29 v Jets: L - because the Flames always lose their last game heading into the post-season.
Final 10 game record doesn't matter because the Flames are playoff bound and have bigger fish to fry. Look for this team to be ready come mid-way through game one of the post season.

I'm on board with that other than the Vegas game. I'd like the Flames to hammer them, leading by 3 or 4 goals with 5 minutes left in the third. Then the Flames, somewhat inexplicably, pull their goaltender and let Vegas tie the game with 3 or 4 EN goals. Flames win in OT after dominating Harlem Globetrotters style.
Vegas passes Edmonton in the standings and Edmonton misses by 1 point.

Yeah I'm thinking even a bit below their average pace. They don't really have that much to play for right now and are likely to rest some players they otherwise wouldn't, and players might be more concerned with avoiding injuries than going all out to win games.
I'll say 11-12 points. 6-4 or 5-5 with some some loser points.

11-0
That's right. The league will award them one extra win due to the sheer awesomeness of the team.

You wouldn’t care if they lost 10 in a row as long as they were healthy and rested?

Come game one of the playoffs, it won't matter one iota what teams did in the final 10 games of the season. The only thing that will matter is how you are playing in the playoffs.
And how they played in the final 10 will have no bearing on that.
My only concern about 0-10 (which isn't happening), is that it could cost them the division, so obviously that would matter. But that isn't happening. So yeah, I couldn't care less, as long as they are healthy and rested.

I look at the final 10 games of 2019 where the Flames coasted in and the Avs fought tooth and nail and the results were evident that those final 10 games played into the confidence and momentum both teams had going in.
I think it is important they get their game right which they did on this road trip. I am hoping these upcoming games are more 1 goal wins vs 3-4 goals so they can get more right game practice. Obviously I am with you on the rested and healthy part and when it comes to wins all that really matters is win enough to clinch the division.
I don’t necessarily agree that these 10 games are throw away games that don’t have any bearing on the playoff performance. I get your point but slightly disagree

I disagree that it doesn;t matter how you are playing going in. You can't just turn on a switch. Look what happened last time. Flames coasted into the playoffs, Avs were fighting for their playoff lives. Playoffs start and it was an absolute blood bath.
Both the teams we are most likely to face in the first round will be battling hard to get/stay in. And we play 3 games against those teams. time to ramp it up, not down. And I have no doubt that is the message Sutter will be delivering.

There are teams that struggled down the stretch and then had a good palyoff run.
There are teams that struggled down the stretch and then played poorly in the playoffs.
There are teams that played great down the stretch and then did nothing in the playoffs.
And there are teams that played great down the stretch and then carried into a long playoff run.
At the end of the day, it's a new season and you never know.
No one is saying coast and take the next 10 games off - literally no one said that. But their record is irrelevant - what matters is preparing for the playoffs at this point.

The Flames are retroactively awarded a win for one of the earlier Edmonton losses.

Just don't let bad habits creep in. Avoiding that and injuries and it's the best we can hope for.
What a nice position to be in for a change.

Personally I care about the next 6 games, and not so much about the last 4.
Go 4-2 in the next 6 and you have 103 points and probably lock up the division. Oilers would have to go 7-2 to get to 104 points.
Then you can rest guys the final 4 games of the season and make sure you go into the playoffs healthy.

Idc what the record is but i want the flames to crush Nashville and Vegas for psychological reasons. Was gonna imclude Dallas but they are pretty much a smoke and mirrors show, their points are very padded with otw's.

I don't see why the Flames shouldn't strive for 26-0 the rest of the way...

If that's too hard, they can go 16-10, as long as they pick the last 16 to win.

Win the division, no predictions other than that.
I do really hope we get a look at pelletier before it's all said and done this season.
