Flames D Nikita Zadorov has 99 career NHL points while F Trevor Lewis skated in his 800th game. Another cool milestone? D Michael Stone played his 500th NHL contest. RW Tyler Toffoli is three assists away from 200 and nine goals away from 200
Two victories to kick off a four-game road swing have the Calgary Flames feeling good about themselves heading into a Thursday clash with the San Jose Sharks.
The Flames (42-19-9, 93 points), who are six points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers in the chase for the top spot in the Pacific Division, certainly appear back on track from the three-game skid that ended their most recent homestand. After opening the trip with a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Monday, the Flames beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-2 on Wednesday.
BOTTOM LINE: Johnny Gaudreau and Calgary square off against San Jose. He currently ranks fourth in the in the NHL with 96 points, scoring 34 goals and recording 62 assists.
The Sharks are 8-8-4 against the rest of their division. San Jose averages 8.8 penalty minutes per game, the eighth-most in the Western Conference. Jeffrey Viel leads the team serving 100 total minutes.

The Flames have lost a few tough ones to these guys this season. Hopefully they are ready to go and win this game. Could be a huge game to start building some momentum.
Seems like every bottom feeder lately gets up to play the Flames and wants to play spoiler, which is gonna happen every night down the stretch when you're the 1st place team. This will be another tough one.
Hopefully the Flames can get a comfortable lead early in this one and we can finally have ourselves a stress free viewing experience.

B2B, 3rd in four nights. Nearing the end of an absolutely brutal schedule and regular season. Have a consistent game and whatever happens..happens. Go Flames Go!!!
Flames have deserved much better against San Jose this year, it is hard to believe the Sharks can steal another win. The Flames game seems to be trending in the right direction, hopefully they build on two solid efforts in SoCal and get the terrible version of the Sharks that played the Oilers the other night.
In my head, all three San Jose victories have been games where we were the better team, and the Sharks cashed in on every single mistake. Let's continue the trend of being the better team, but let's lock down the victory!

Hope we see a healthy Jarnkrok back in the lineup. Would be nice to get him going -- I think they're still trying to figure out what works best for the middle six.
Am I crazy to think that Ruzicka has looked good enough to stay in? I'm not sure who you could take out though, of Jarnkrok is healthy.

Ruzicka is a funny animal to get your head around.
On one hand I felt he struggled, didn't handle the puck all that well, whiffed on some passes, played a role in ending some cycles through mistakes (they all do).
On the other hand I feel he's brought his floor up this season to the extent that he doesn't make impactful mistakes and hurt the team.

I do think Ruzicka is on the bubble. I didn't love his games against either LA or Anaheim personally so could see him being the first on the bench when Jarnkrok is ready.
I could see him, Zadorov and Markstron being rested for this game.
So watch the exact same lineup take the ice instead.
