Maybe the Calgary market is a different, but these shows are still too radio oriented to make good podcasts.
I don't want to hear doofus mcgee calling in from the car or some 2 minute cliche filled interview with a player post game. Get someone in who's engaging and can talk about the game and make it interesting. If you have a guest - make it long form so you can actual learn something instead of 'pucks in deep' for 2 minutes.

The Raptors post game and regular podcasts from the Fan590 is what all these shows should be emulating in my opinion.

Odd that no one would communicate that the show isn’t going on air.

Engaging radio listening to an interview with Mitch Marner's personal trainer lol. Marner and Matthews are great players but love fest for these two players is Oilers media levels cringy.

This sucks. Are we sure this is just temporary? A tweet or something from 960?

Thank goodness! This 590 is awful. I do not care, one bit, about some pitcher who threw more change-ups than normal in a preseason game half a week before the season even starts.

I'm surprised how dry this Toronto feed is quite frankly compared to the local guys.

They are not everyone's cup of team but both Boomer and Pinder are pretty talented and bring a lot of personality to their shows. Walker too if they brought him back.

Walker can be dour at times but without a doubt he makes for good radio. They absolutely should bring him back if they can fit it in the budget.

Yeah and I'm not sure what the dynamic would be with having both Pinder and Walker as they both play a similar role, albeit in different ways.
But Boomer and Walker have tremendous chemistry and it would allow them to look at shifting Pinder back to afternoons, and strengthen both shows.

What I caught would've been after the morning show, I tuned in at 7:30 (9:30 EST) and it was 3 wind bags drooling over Matthews and slaming Huberdeau, horrible radio. I would assume the morning show would be more entertaining then the "after morning show" program.

I've always said Boomer and Pinder are the Fan960's best talent. You really notice a dip in quality when one of them is on hiatus or vacation. I'm actually pretty thankful we have them for local radio. I think if given the chance, either of them would excel in a bigger market.

It was God awful. Truly some of the least self aware blathering I've heard. It was a living spoof article.

Matthews and Marner are the greatest. It's the pressure that actually makes them great. No one has ever heard of a Huberdeau. Terrible for the hockey world that he got to 100 last night.

Then they started talking about the Ramirez signing like it was a personal insult to Toronto. I guess they thought he was already a blue jay despite playing for a different team.
