It hurts the depth of the team going into the playoffs, plus by all accounts he's a rock solid locker room guy.

That's too bad, I liked him as a depth forward that put in the work. I don't think this really hurts the team, with Ritchie, and Ruzicka ahead of him on the depth chart.

I didn't have as much hate for Richardson as some did. He was "ok" but clearly a depth guy on this team. Clears up some cap space and room to either add from the farm or in the next hour or so...

Sutter's probably slightly annoyed. I think he said once that Richardson was providing good leadership, even when he wasn't playing. Seems to be really well liked and respected by the players too.
Not a big loss though, we'll manage
