They just might. Their main issue this year has been goaltending, and if they get it sorted out, they're as good as anyone.

i didn't see that. seravalli has tweeted however that the flames won't have a problem moving monahan if its at the deadline or this summer though.

Interesting to hear Friedman (on 32 thoughts) speculate about Lindholm, but it is just speculation.
It would certainly be a big add and give us some absolutely incredible depth on the blueline.
I don't think we'll see Monahan dealt until the off-season. I just don't see that guy getting subtracted from this team. The room loves him, he's been a big part of this all along...and even personally if this team were to do anything real in the playoffs, I'd love to see Monahan be a part of it.

Pains me to say it but I suspect Monnys traded before the deadline. Just too many media guys ramping up Monahan.

I have a hard time believing it . Think some of those media guys are out to lunch . No team is going to do a solid for the flames and help them with getting cap room without a severe price. I’m sorry but Mony couldn’t even grab the 3rd line center job . We needed to bring in someone so Mony could stay on the 4th line . Maybe in the summer someone would take a chance on him without a severe throw in . In articles every team that has said they will take on additional cap space day they want to be rewarded for it .imo Mony will stay on the flames for remainder of the year and probably in the 4th line unless a bunch of injury’s occur .
