Does this mean Markstrom and co are buying the Flames?

Not only one of the best two-way centers in the game and the coach's most trusted forward, but helped recruit Markstrom (and indirectly Tanev), and now Jarnkrok.
Any player that even somewhat resembles Lindy and his defensive responsibility, sign me up. And probably exactly what Sutter's saying behind closed doors...get me MORE of him.

Funny the Flames went from Backlund up the middle, to a similar but better Backlund ahead of Backlund, and now a slightly inferior Backlund behind Backlund.

Centre: the Back(lund)bone of the team.

His underlying defensive numbers are strong and that's what I like most.
I hope he's a fit down the middle, because although he's made strides, Monahan has overall not been great on the defensive side of it (obviously discounting some recent strong performances). Jarnkrok being able to be a steady, dependable presence at 3C would help one of our few weaknesses, and puts lessens the pressure on Monahan.
