Putting a message on the Saddledome Jumbotron
The April 3 game against Colorado marks my girlfriend's and my anniversary and I wanted to get a short message on the Jumbotron like they do for birthdays and anniversaries in the second intermission.
Who do I go to with that request? I searched both the Saddledome and Flames sites but couldn't find any info. Thanks in advance!

Not a bad idea for an anniversary, but don't propose. So cheesy.

it's true, she'll pretend to love it, but deep down, she wanted rose petals and scented candles. I never got that.

Definitely not proposing at the Saddledome! Yikes.
In fact, now that I think about it, I should actually ask her to the game with me.
Thanks for the info, worth, I'll give them a call.

Let me get this straight...
You wanted to put a message on the Jumbotron celebrating you and your girlfriend's anniversary, for all the Flames fans to see, and you were not thinking of taking said girlfriend to see your work. Not only does she not see her name on the Jumbotron, you're not even spending the night of your anniversary with her... That's classic man!
I've been dumped cause I forgot birthdays, or watched wrestling PPVs on month anniversarys... but this makes me laugh.
You Goon... are my new hero.
"I know we didn't spend much time together on our anniversary, but I did get them to post it on the Jumbotron honey..."

Hey, I'm not that callous, I plan to take a picture of the message on the Jumbotron to show her later!
Kidding...I had just realized that we actually hadn't made plans for the game even though I've had the tickets since the beginning of the season. I'm sure she'll be impressed.

I think it depends on the girl... a hardcore Flames fan like myself would be okay with that, provided there were after game plans to celebrate as well.

Well, my proposal would involve Conroy scoring a goal, picking the puck out of the net, and throwing it to me in the audience. I would then hand the puck over to my gf, she'd flip it over, and my proposal would be on the back of the puck. Magic!
(Of course, she'd probably think Conroy was proposing to her, and run off happily with him.)

Goon - who told you about my number #1 dream proposal??????
One last thing on your jumbotron message - make sure to call early, I was at a game a couple weeks ago and the fellow behind me wanted to put a bday notice on the Jumbo but it was full by the time he called.

Thanks, I'll give them a call very soon.
I'm planning on doing an even cheesier, Stampede-based proposal!

On the giant wheel as the fireworks go off in the background? In the Ag building between the prize winning heifers? On the skyride as you share a bag of mini donuts? So many possibilities here...can't you give us a clue?!

Just propose when most normal people do. When the pee stick comes back with a (+) instead of a much less life changing (-).

I always thought a really romantic moment was right after the chuckwagons as the grandstand show is being brought out by that massive tractor. Nothing says 'romance' like the Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede!
