Do not like the poke passes they were trying in their own zone. Leafs are too quick to the puck for the cute plays there.

Tough sleddin tonight.
Back to back with two top teams and the fatigue is showing a little.
However, they're defending quite well still and making a great game of things.
Still, they need to shift the momentum a little if they plan to win this.

Yeah i really don’t remember much from the early part of this season anymore but this is the best opposing team I’ve seen in a long time, probably all season
Flames can’t put two passes together

You have to give the Leafs credit, they are just outworking the Flames and the Flames are trying to be way too cute. They need to simplify and outskate the Leafs.

I think the pressure, and hustle by the Leafs forecheck makes simple plays more difficult. It looks like we're rushing everything and seem out of sync as a result.

So is that all Toronto, or a product of the Flames being unable to connect more than 2 passes all night?
I'd say it's a combination. But this is the Flames' C- game on display here.
