Strange place to draw the line. Personally thought all three montages were pretty watchable. Not traditionally a star wars thing but it didn't detract from the show or enjoyment.

It's not a line i have drawn, just something that takes me out of it. It has become sort of a running joke in the house "oh god, another montage!?!"

I have plenty of issues with this show, the montages are just funny to me at this point because every episode has one"

I still watch it, but honestly it's not something that gets me hard

I want more 80's Montage music with Montages.

Yeah, Cappy just needs some appropriate music.

it's a style carryover from the Mando show, which had S1 montages about forging armor, reprogramming the assassin droid, etc.

taking the time to world build is totally appropriate when you've got the runtime to do it in a multi-episode show. the gaffi stick crafting one might have been a little over the top cause I assume originally those things were meant to be just random junk scraps cobbled together like a prison shiv, but they turned it into forging a Hattori Hanzo samurai blade. it symbolized his full acceptance into the tribe though so it's fine.

I loved the armour forging montage.

This show has been all over the place, which makes it not a cohesive arc or singular story. And unless we get a book this week, the "book" meant nothing.

They actually derailed the plot to fan service Mando fans, just because.

I'm not even complaining. I've loved it. But this will make the chronology a mess for new viewers that don't know that Fett contains essentially 2 Mando episodes with significant plot development.

I think the title of the series is almost irrelevant at this point. Its just live action Star Wars post-ROTJ starring Din & Friends.

Yeah, I think almost the better way to look at it at this point as Mando S 3 with a four episode side arc Boba Fett origin story/montage.

I'll watch the Finale tonight.

But I'll say that if montages are the worst part of the series, then we are in great shape.

That was a fun finale. Wrapped up the season well. Sets up Mandalorian for season 3.

The Mods are still kind of lame, so hopefully they flesh them out as characters a bit and give them better speeders for season 2.

If the Mods were cut from the show completely it would be a 9/10. They drop it to a solid 7.

Some good moments. Still all over the place but plenty of goodies packed into those 61 minutes.

The mods do feel very out of place. Like plucked from another franchise. I think they're trying hard to make people crush on the british sounding chick. Got some 'girl power' vibes from her and the Freetown girl doing their rooftop sniping bit. Classic Disney....

I thought they would set up more of a cliffhanger or bigger entity behind the syndicate. That's my main gripe with the finale. But it was a fun ride!

Boba/Mando team up was the best.

There's a post credit scene, but is kind of pointless.

B. Dallas-Howard and Filoni are better directors than Rodriguez.

Agreed. Lots of clunky gun battles just standing around. People who should be getting shot. 1v1 standoffs where surrouding characters could easily step in to help. My thought is between them and Favreau, how did none of them see how lame the Vespa Squad were? Even after they were intro'd. Would have been so easy to kill them off or something after it was obvious they didn't fit.

Also what happened to the sand people? I know the one tribe got murdered, but there are a lot of them, no? I was hoping to see them return to fight the shield droids. No complaints about the Rancor though.

Yup. The best & most realistic (& engaging) fighting given the numbers was Boba and Din doing their two man standoff. They were getting pelted left and right and looked like they were taking a beating despite wearing armour.

Then you have a crowd of them running around unsheltered and suddenly no one can pick off any of them. It was bordering on silly at times.

Then you have the droid and syndicate fighters blasting away at their little shelter at the end and they're handing off weapons through the opening. They should've had their arms blasted off lol.

But we got rancor to help keep us from nitpicking too much I suppose.

I definitely thought one of the main mods would be killed. At least they could serve a purpose of providing some emotional gravity to the situation that way.

How did Krrsantan take that many shots? I thought when the Freetown ship was blown up that he was done because he looked gravely injured. But somehow he managed to run away fast enough?

It was an okay season finale. Overall I’d give the series maybe a 6.5/10. The episodes were wildly inconsistent.

I heard many people didn't like the Bane/Fett face off.

I personally liked Cad calling him out for having too much clone blood, then Boba using his skills acquired with the sand people to give him an advantage. Thought it was pretty fitting.

I wonder if this choppy-ness of the show had to do with working through COVID protocols.
