Happy with the win. Good to see Coleman’s edge. That’s the type of player that you need to win come playoff time.

Good stretch of games and results heading into the all star break. Going to be a packed schedule post break, so hopefully the guys rest up this week. Lots of home games upcoming, though.

Over the next 2 months, the Flames play 21 of 26 at home and don't have any road trips longer than 1 game.

It's time to make the Saddledome a very uncomfortable place to play.

Rarely would be 42 years ago you dummy, his name was Jari Kurri and your team hasn't had a late round gem since.

Hrudey excels at being a complete homer during the Flames broadcast and then going neutral during his HNIC panel role.
Have these guys listened to their own team’s broadcasts?

Other than the 1st, I didn't think the Coyotes played too bad. Definitely stuck around for most of the game. Good solid win going into yet another break. With the big homestretch coming up, it will be interesting to see how the Flames perform. Definitely need to make the Saddledome a hard place for opposing teams.

At the halfway point, I'm not sure how Sutter isn't on the ballot for the Jack Adams. The Flames aren't in the tier above them like the Panthers and Lightning are. But those teams have star power throughout their lineup the Flames don't. With what Sutter has had to work with and the the buy in from everybody, he's definitely going to get some votes if they keep this up.

I actually think that's the sign of a good broadcaster. For home broadcasts you should be a Homer. Part of your job is to sell the team on their own broadcast.

HNIC is a neutral national broadcast. There broadcasters should be impartial.

Hrudy I mean, at least based on. What your saying. I pay so little attention to any of them I can't honestly comment on quality of impartiality, let alone when and where.

I was able to catch the third period. Always great to see a W!

How would they know the difference? Every broadcast is an Oilers' homer broadcast. The fawning over McDavid and how awesome his is is unbearable to anyone but Oiler fans, and it happens every ####ing broadcast. Can barely watch hockey with the sound on anymore.

And as always a treat for the eyes from Zamler

NSFW!

I had to go to bed after the second period (yay early morning shifts) but I KNEW the Good Guys™ would win after seeing that second period. Winning is certainly a lot of fun!

After stumbling against the Sens, they’ve gone 3-0-0 outscoring opponents 13-2. Hopefully it’s already begun…

I only listened to the game but was nice to see a good game from Blake Coleman with goals as well as Chris Tanev, scoring not from the first line for the second game in a row.

Good win.

Yeah I actually thought it was a complement of Hrudey there, that's exactly what he's supposed to be doing.

I beg for losses these days but am pretty much entirely unattached from the Coyotes. I couldn't name more than 5 players to be quite honest.

Literally nothing matters until I see an approved Tempe arena project.

Just got a chance to watch the full game, and as dominant as the Flames were I think Markstrom gets some credit too. Especially after the game in Dallas, getting pulled.

The Coyotes didn't have a ton of shots but man those were great chances, especially at 2-2 and 3-2.

Can't be mad at that game in anyway! Quite a dominant game by the whole team, and no one looked like a passenger!

Yeah, so did I. Was that supposed to be a criticism? I don't get it.

Even then, Hrudey is not the biggest homer in the world. He isn't afraid to point out flaws or lucky calls for the Flames.
