Listening to Kane with the media, I was shocked. I mean, I know he isn't a model human being or anything, but this was ŕn introductory interview for a guy getting yet another chance with yet another organization, and he wasn't even the slightest bit apologetic or remorseful or even humble.
Just a dispicable person.
Any Oiler fan who is trying to find a way to be supportive of this, should be ashamed of themselves

I wonder how Kassian likes this? Don’t get me wrong - he’s an idiot who thinks way too highly of himself and his code. But he has also made a big deal of his comeback from addiction and his “good guy/teammate” image. Plus this guarantees no more sidekicking with McDavid any time soon for Kassian.
Kassian checked out awhile ago. He got his payday and I think he knows he's never going to do enough to justify it. So he just continues to float and other teams are happy that he does too. And now that another "tough guy" is in the locker room (Kane), he's all but redundant at this point.

Agree. Agent spoon feeding Friedman. Sounds similar to drivel coming from Milstein's dumb comments right when Kane was bought out. If Washington really was interested, anyone would take that option over Edmonton.
If contenders in the states were actually interested, why did he go and take the Oilers offer? No way they would be top of the list with those teams mentioned.
Smells like BS.

Yup. It’s been reported the Caps talked but never made an offer. Notice Friedman doesn’t say who “mentioned” those teams anyway.
