2-0 Finland after 20. Fully expect it to be the first of many bloodbaths, I just hope we get to keep some of our dignity lol.
would also be great if Marco Kasper and Vinzenz Rohrer didn't hurt their draft stock. Obviously tough to show something when you're team is hemmed in the defensive zone all the time, but fingers crossed. Kasper is consistently ranked between 20 and 30 in most rankings, so I hope he'll be yet another Austrian drafted in the first round (maybe even by a certain team from Alberta, ha!). Rohrer (who's playing with the Ottawa 67s) is ranked #82 by FC right now.

Austria only scored one goal total last year so they've equaled that!

Every time I see Craig Button I just want to shake him and say “Marc Savard for Ruslan Zainullan…what the hell were you thinking?? And then you fire the coach he couldn’t get along with weeks later. That was a horrific screw up.”

I'd love to hear Button try and explain that epic fail publicly, there was talk that Iginla marched in his office after the trade and screamed "do you think you got rid of the real problem?"

How bad is that it wasn’t even his worst deal.
At least he didn’t buy out Marc Savard and pay him to go away like Hall of Famer Martin St. Louis.

Could've had Luingo for Morris as well. Worst gm ever.

Bad GM for sure who buckle's under pressure but he's actually pretty good at assessing young talent, far from a moron IMO.

Years ago I was at a private dinner where Craig Button was a guest speaker. Someone asked him about what his worst deal was...his answer wasn't the red meat we all want. He was charming and humble when he stated it was Marc Savard for Ruslan.
He admit to it...it gave me some closure. I hope others get the same peace knowing he knows when they see him on TSN.
