I will not be purchasing any Flames NFTs (although I do think the 8-bit Harvey ones are cute)...

It's okay to hate NFTs, but to think they'll disappear is quite the stretch, as the NFT world is well on track to be the next big market, and is kind of already at that point.

I saw someone compare buying the imaginary ownership rights to a thing that everybody can experience with their eyes to that fad of buying stars and plots of land on the moon.
NFTs as they are currently being used are such a ridiculous waste of money and resources. I'm sure there's some possible useful application to the technology, but this ain't it.

Look at it. Maybe let it stew on your computer or up on the internet and let it digitally rot. There's definitely better things to spend with your money. NFT assumes money grows on trees. 
I guess for those who hate digital currency and hate blockchain for that matter, they're not mutually exclusive for the digital currency since digital currency requires blockchain for ledgering. However, blockchain can be mutually exclusive on it's own. So, it's not really the fault of blockchain development, but rather the development and the concepts of digital currency with encryption and parallel computing. This whole concept is totally dumb and complex at the same time IMHO.
