I don't recall anything? I do however have friends that have been positive early in the pandemic and have tested positive a second time well over a year later. (vaccinated)

And I know you can test positive after you've had it for quite a long time. They all cleared up and just "got it again"

Weird times.

Hope everyone rests up, heals up, and no problems after.

Wasn’t there a rumor kicking around that Kylington had a false positive last week?

oh no doubt that you can get covid more than once, just found it interesting given that these guys are presumably also 'fully vaccinated' and so may be in a relatively high protection category

Billions of dollars in lost revenues between all the major sports leagues because of the shutdowns and truncated seasons... yet there are still s--t sippers out there thinking it's all a hoax.

Yeah, cause folks like Mark Cuban are willingly giving up millions of dollars just to f--- with a bunch of rednecks.

Yes. It seems there won’t be any Flames games between now and Christmas at the minimum.

With all these cases (at least on the Flames) confirmed to be asymptomatic, why would the league shut down???

It seems that the easiest and most profitable course of action would be to just cancel/reschedule 10-14 days worth of games for each team it goes through, and continue on.

It's more anecdotal proof the vaccine works. More proof that it is a life saver and that it prevents serious negative outcomes.

Further to that, I don't think fan attendance should be restricted either. You need to be vaccinated to attend games. Any person, with any deductive reasoning ability can see that the vaccine works. It is time to leave the minority that choose to remain unvaccinated behind. It is what they have chosen; so be it. The 85% majority should no longer keep paying the price to protect them. Refuse them ICU care if need be. And I say this with almost my entire extended family choosing to remain unvaccinated

Yeah, there should be no way this game should go ahead.

Also just got an update from the Athletic that the Hurricanes will continue their schedule (playing the Red Wings tomorrow) after their game against the Wild got cancelled/postponed.

In medicine (I work in health care), we always assume a patient is infectious unless we have a confirmed result otherwise.

If there was a second PCR test result taken, the player should have been kept out of the line-up until the result came back. Especially when 2 other members of the team already tested positive, so COVID-19 was present in the locker room.

Agree 100%, if you're unvaccinated you should NOT be taking up a spot at the clinics, hospitals, ICU etc.
