I agree. Minor trip at worst. Definitely not a traditional slewfoot where you send the guy right down in his ass while horizontal.

A proper slew foot involves putting your leg behind the guy and using your arm to push him back over your leg

See PK Slewbban for many examples

Maybe Mangiapane has a PIM bonus this year.
I've heard quite a few stories of players pretty much begging refs for misconduct penalties to get their bonus.

Frankly his stick to the goalie’s glove at the end of that play was dirtier - I thought the slewfoot was accidental.

I thought I heard the rink announcer say Mangiapane had a penalty at the end of OT, but the US pbp crew didn't say anything about it, so I figured maybe it was a goal/assist correction or something.
 I guess now we know!

You don't get a 10 min misconduct at the end of OT for a trip that happened midway through the third.
He was yelling at the ref so the ref got rid in him

 Nothing more nothing less

I find that beyond hilarious. How hard is it to go bonkers in a game if youre that close to a pim bonus.
Penalties are quite literally the easiest stat to get.

Good game overall but I have to mute my TV when Cassie is on the show. She gets something in her mind and talks about it all the time during the game, "Anderson and Hanafin need to provide some scoring" every time they are on the ice. Just annoys the crap out of me, lol

That would be a very weird bonus for teams to negotiate. Why would they want their player to surpass x amount of penalty minutes? |

Would make sense for the goons and enforcers of yesteryear.
For someone like Mangi tho, yeah, no.

Have we ever had a backup goalie this good? It’s a noodle scratcher for me. I don’t think we have.
Vladar is like your second best friend. He may not be your BEST friend, but he’s pretty awesome and always has your back. All previous backups have been like the slightly strange guy at work who thinks he’s friends with you and you’re like meh, stop picking your nose, shower once in a while and try not to be such an awkward dork.
