I was commenting on Hanifin not dino's posts. So if you wanna discuss Hanifin let's have a discussion.
I was commenting on your post... complementing one player while taking a shot at another, who has also played well.

Hanifin is better defensively, Kylington is better offensively IMO

Flashy offense translates better on TV

Be right handed. It’s the main reason he isn’t. Due to the structure of the pp1 forward group.

Actually it does since I am the one that made the comparison.

I said Kylinton is what Hanifin should be. I made the comparison. So it has everything to do with each other. Kylinton has another gear, Hanifin doesn't. I think it's why Carolina didn't see him part of the future.

This also doesn't mean I think Hanifin sucks. I think defensively he is our 2nd best defenceman behind Tanev.

Put Rasmus on PP2 and try Kylington on the top unit

It will help their breakouts to have an option besides Johnny

Mangiapane too, for that matter.
And you think Sutter would stand for that?

There's always a decent amount of Flames fans in Ottawa for games and a pretty vocal bunch to boot. Brings me back to my university days there when I'd make the trip out to Kanata in Flames colours.

We have an incredibly stable top 4 d men right now. We shouldn't be weiner swinging opinions like this. Let's just be happy to have these kind of problems like why the guy with 10 5v5 points should be getting PP time.

They have Rasmus tee’d up as a one timer option for Johnny playing the right side on pp1. It’s the structure they set that has more to do with Kylington being on pp2 than anything else.

I haven't seen Sutter prove otherwise for either guy. Unless you think Monahan and Andersson have played better this year and earned their PP1 spots on merit.

I’d like to see OK on the PP1. But he has to learn the system, so it needs practice time. It’s likely different than PP2.

To be fair our pp overall has been pretty consistent. I agree Kylington should be on pp1 as well as Mangiapane but didn't Flames score a PPG for 10 straight games?

This is such a classic Francis move.
Make a stupid statement, then talk about how everyone has been talking about the content of his stupid statement.
Literally manufactures story lines for himself to talk about.

I think it’s nuts to believe the coach is allowing contracts to influence his power play set up
And if this is true why isn’t he doing that with Johnny?

Lindholm is another option...he's handling the puck like a grenade right now but normally he does it well.

I missed the Toronto game. Did Kylington get some time in OT? Hanifin has struggled in OT. So has Rasmus.

The power play has been out of sorts for a couple games but it was very good to start the year. Don't know why everyone's clamoring to change things so quickly.
