We're going to be getting our first snow of the season this weekend, not sure how much will fall but its not obtusely cold. No snow for Tuesday and -6 at kickoff, although there will likely be snow at the stadium from the day before.

Bring a winter parka and whiskey!

The area around Commonwealth Stadium is a bit of a wasteland for dining options. As noted above, best bet is to head downtown early, then take the train, Uber, or walk to the stadium (about a 40 minute walk from central downtown).

For out of towners, here are my recommendations (in order of closest to the stadium/LRT)

I'd recommend many of the options on 104th, including DOSC, Kelley's Pub, Say Uncle, Bundok and Tres Carnales if you're looking for good food and drinks. I will also suggest around the corner is a great upscale Spanish drinks bar called El Beso. Fantastic tequila and margaritas.

Also, if you want a good honest round of drinks at a pleasant place, the Rocky Mountain Ice House on Jasper and 105 is decent.

There are many other places in the area too, I've done most of them. Happy to answer any questions about it all.

I am already excited for this game. I couldn't make it out myself which hurts a lot but I know this is going to be a red letter game in the history of the mens national team regardless of result, at least will get to watch it. Just wanted to re-enforce this.

A buddy and I went there with our sons and some other boys when we were up for the 7's.

Excellent place and the owner was on the floor all night working hard for his customers.

Support this type of place.
