Cool your jets. We don't know what we have here, especially after a year of no hockey being played in the OHL. I would suggest people wait until these guys get to the AHL and then see whether they look like they have the chops to be a player. The OHL is going to be a mess for a couple years as things normalize.

I believe I'll wait until I see how he does in the pros, and then determine whether we have a player. If he can replicate what Zary and Pelletier have done in the AHL, then get excited that we may have stumbled on a top six player. Could be more Cory ###### than Andrew Mangiapane.

Funny, I recall you saying the same sort of things about Andrew Mangiapane after he had played 100+ games in the AHL.

You're welcome to have an opinion, but trying to throw a wet blanket over every prospect on the wrong side of 6'0" isn't what I consider careful consideration, it's just a dated mindset from the dead puck era.

Kerins looks like another case of good player/bad team, 2nd in points and 1st in goals as a 17 year old, scouting reports say he has a dynamite shot/release, plays with jam and a smart 200 ft game.

Size is ok as he's worked hard to put on 15 lbs, if he works as hard on his skating the flames will have something here.

Also very positive to be that Kerins is putting up these numbers playing down the middle of the ice. Can’t remember the last time a Flames natural C prospect looked this good statistically speaking in the draft+2 year
