What wouldn't they ask Sutter about McDavid?
Sutter's takes on the rest of the NHL are worth hearing, so I'm glad he was asked. His answer was spot on, too.
Good stuff IMO.

Sutter was right though it wasn't 1 on 4...for some reason 3 guys gave him the middle of the ice

I feel like Sutter made a subtle dig at the Saddledome crowd (which is deserved IMO).
Way too quiet for a team that's started out the gate hot. I suppose it could be the TV effect but it sounds like, literally mute when watching the game. I'm sure the home team realizes / hears the lack of love.

I didn't know there were rules around what is acceptable to ask. I figured anything was fair game if it was on a noteworthy topic.
Sutter certainly didn't have an issue with it. You can easily tell which questions he doesn't have time for.
Maybe I just love me some Daryl Sutter press time, but I am honestly interested in his answers to basically anything hockey-related.

Unfortunately the 'Dome has always been a relatively quiet rink during the regular season. Get into the playoffs though, and that building becomes and entirely different beast. Easily one of the loudest crowds I've ever experienced.

Heading to the game from out of town tonight. Haven't been down to the dome area for a long time. Is there any construction I should be aware of. I usually take the Reconcilliation Bridge to 4th St/Olympic Way and park in the lots to the north (new Arena spot?). Is that still a viable option theses days?

Despite the fact that the Oilers are still a no-good ####show McDavid is NHL news right now. He froze 4 guys last night on what will likely be the goal of the year.

okay. He said there's some quiet rinks in Canada, and he is the coach of the Flames. Who do you think he's talking about?
Do you think the Saddledome is loud?
Personally I think a louder Saddledome would make a difference, but I'm not sure how you go about fixing that.

Been to many other rinks and I can say hands down Calgary has the quietest fans. I mean I went to a Phoenix game with 10,000 attendance and it was louder. As for playoffs every nhl teams fan base take it up a notch during that time. I wouldn’t say Calgary has the loudest fans during playoff time. Yes the 2004 cup run was loud but it hasn’t even come close to that since.
