This hasn’t just been tonight though. Even in past games where Mangi has looked good, and scored

He’ll for sure be in Edmonton tomorrow giving Mavi every call he asks for.

Bad news was that this was likely the worst game played, down to the goaltender, all season.

Good news is that they still got a point.

You just knew that with the Flames possessing the puck for about 4 minutes straight in OT, that the Stars were going to get the puck and bury it their first real chance.

It wasn't a one-timer, but it was still a highly dangerous shot from the middle of the ice, where the net is as big as possible and a shooter has options through layers of traffic.

From the angle that Benn scored his goal, you'd like to see a save because the angle makes the net smaller. Of course the Markstrom brigade will be all over me for being honest so I'll just pretend Markstrom was great and we lost because somrthing something lack of finish.

nobody has said this don't be a tool

I said either of those could be saved easily...Z isn't exactly a sniper. They are almost the exact same shot in the same spot in the same net from the same distance.

the combover goal was the difference but lets not act like the OT winner was a shot from half or something. It was a HD chance, 3 on 3 with lots of room a player doesn't usually have in normal play and he put it just inside the post.

Markstrom had a very rough night. Encouraging they were able to get a point.

Why isn’t Mangiapane getting the icetime?

That is a head scratcher for sure.

Well, it is a point at least. They all add up in the end.

I thought Dallas was the better team for most of the game tonight. I also thought that they were the more physical team as well.

It is really nice to see Kylington really start blossoming. I also think this was Zadorov's best game this season, and not just because he scored. I think he was sound defensively tonight, and his passing was good.

What continues to blow my mind is how good Gudbranson is. I thought for sure at times that the Flames kidnapped Brodie and force-fed him steroids and human growth hormone - that looked like a pretty decent puck moving defencemen out there tonight. He is looking more and more confident.

I would like to exchange Kylington for Andersson on PP1 as well. Andersson is becoming way too predictable and doesn't seem able to adjust to the forecheck pressure - I would prefer someone who is a bit more dynamic with the puck on his stick. I at least would like to see more reps of Kylington on PP1 or PP2 anyway, and see if he is a good fit.

You can't win them all, but good teams either don't lose multiple games in a row, and are able to squeeze out a point in a loss at least. This is a good team.

Markstrom let in one really bad Comeau goal but all the others I wouldn't blame the goalie. End of the day there was a fair amount of adversity tonight that they responded too and still got a point.

First two periods were boring until Lucic scored. Actually thought the third was pretty entertaining. Flames didn’t deserve to win but I’m not sure they deserved to lose either.

Wasn’t overly impressed with any of their big guys tonight. Tkachuk took a few dumb penalties, Gaudreau made that awful pass in OT that gave Dallas possession of the puck, Mangiapane was kind of invisible.

The reffing was really bad but they gave Calgary a 5 on 3 and two power plays in the last 5 minutes of the game. It went both ways.

I was excited to have someone else play with mangi and dube… wasn’t expecting Lucic… not that he played bad, but let’s put someone with more speed with them…

Agreed. The officiating wasn't the reason we lost. It was incompetent all around.

More baby steps for the Flames. They fought back and tied the game late. Now they need to learn how to finish off their opponents when it comes to overtime.

I think we were dominant at 3v3 when we had Gio and Brodie back there and that is the reason we struggle now.

I don't have anything against Andersson, but I would definitely play Kylington over him in OT. You need a guy who can skate, and while Gio wasn't the fastest near the end he still had great instincts on when to move up. Andersson just doesn't strike me as that guy.
