I did a little math. The Oilers pay Lucic $750,000 a year to play for the Flames. Which comes out to $9,146.87 a game.

So I guess the easy answer is that goal was a cool nine grand.

? Was Sutter not the coach of the Flames when the expansion draft happened?

That says more about how bad Ward et al were than about how valuable Kylington should be.

I like stone as a #3 line. I know he's made goofy mistakes before. But he can be solid.

I think previous coaches may have held him and his sometimes mistakes out because they were insecure about themselves/job. Sutter.. no chance.

He came up huge today. With all the penalties he was thrown right into the fire and didn't look out of place at all. Solid depth guy.

Roster construction is fine. His coaching choices have been awful.

Had he brought in Sutter after Gulutzan who know where we would be right?

Let him keep it, motivation for the number of points he'll rack up this year.

That was an improbable road trip. The Flames dominated some really good teams. Very surprising. The Flames will be flying under the media radar of the whole Black Hawks scandal, the Quinneville resignation, and the Eichel rumors, so hopefully they can keep crunching through the wins. Nice little homestand before heading out on another brutal eastern road trip. Looking promising, especially if they can make some hay at the dome. In a strange twist of the schedule, the Flames play only three divisional games before the start of December. Strange season so far, and some good surprises from the Flames!
