If I'm Vegas I'd ask for dahlin
Eichel + dahlin for Theodore+Smith+Dadanov+Krebs+2022 1st unprotected
Sounds like alot but Theodore is already a top 10 Dman, maybe top 5. Eichel is a risk. Dahlin looked bad last year.
I will admit I'm really high on both Theodore and Eichel but Theodore isn't broken and is on a great contract.
VGK playing with fire here. Core is getting older. Nothing in the pipeline. Recipe for potential disaster here.

Calgary can’t beat a Theodore offer, if they really want a top 2 youngish defenceman. Hanifin is good but he ain’t Theodore good. And Theodore is on a great contract plus this is last year and a half before a MTNC kicks in. If he’s outside the Buffalo window they could easily flip Theodore for a king’s ransom at this or the next TDL.

Not to mention that it will probably be March before Eichel can even play, and probably longer until he can be expected to be back to form (assuming no set backs). Missing a whole calendar year and coming off neck surgery, I don't expect him to be a major factor this season at all.
I will be relieved if the Flames avoid this trade.

Watch them trade their 23 1st and completely tank the rest of this season to come back next year with Eichel, Stone and a high end prospect
