Try IKEA. I kid you not. Not the biggest selection, but pretty low prices. Obviously IKEA doesn't make the granite, it's all done by big granite retailer in town. For a 1/4" slab you'll probably be looking at about $120 a linear foot (at a 25 1/2" depth). Prices will go up from there.

I'd help you out if you were in Vancouver. Keep in mind when you are shopping prices that quality of workmanship is an important factor, since everything is custom made.

Harold Borges. I met Harold; he personally goes to Brazil to bring back nice granite. The interior designers at my wife's architecture office were impressed.

If you only need small pieces, you can sometimes get remnants from a warehouse or distribution center for free. Then you only pay fabrication fees. I have a friend who did both her bathrooms for 250.00 using remnants. The remnants were still solid pieces, just too small to keep out in the yard with the other large slabs.

Don't actually use Ikea just phone and ask who they use. They contract it out through someone anyway. I re-did my entire kitchen last year myself and bought all cabinets, etc from Ikea. I hired someone for the countertops because that is something you don't mess around with. They gave me the contractors number I phoned him and he said he would knock off $100 if I didn't actually go through Ikea.

I think that if you want em to match they (obviously) have to come from the same piece of stone...

You buy it in a slab and have it cut to your dimensions.

My wife is office manager for a tile company here in town.

I now they have some surplus slabs in their warehouse cuz we have looked at a few.

I'll check on some pricing for a slab for ya if interested.

Ya want lighter colors of darker tones ?
